Listening to Soren holding back from calling her Madam, Lindsey pretended not to hear anything and said, "I'm home now. I just got back. What's wrong?"

"Umm..." Soren said, "The transfer of assets includes several subsidiaries. The finances and operations had been sorted out. If you’re free now, I can send it over to you to sign off on it."

Lindsey gave an annoyed grunt. "Can I not sign off on it?"

Soren thought about it seriously and replied, "No. After all, you’re the big boss now."

"Fine." Lindsey helplessly rolled her eyes and sighed again.

Soren did not hang up and continued, "Madam, I'm going to Spain in a few days. Will you please take care of Sieben for a while?"

The nature of Soren's job with Zayn was to constantly fly around and most of Zayn's foreign business was managed by Soren in his stead. Soren also handled many shady deals. For the sake of Sieben, Soren had greatly reduced his workload.

Lindsey naturally agreed to it. She had not seen Sieben in many days and she missed her.

"Then I’ll send her over tomorrow. Thank you so much." Soren would not feel at ease if he left Sieben with someone else. He could only leave with no worries if Sieben was with Lindsey.

Lindsey laughed and said, "Don’t mention it. Why are you so polite?"

Soren glanced at Zayn, who was sitting across from him, and thought, ‘It’s better to be polite…’

After Soren said that, he thought about whether there was anything he missed and finally added, "She likes to eat peanut candies recently. Don't let her eat too much of it because it's not good for her teeth."

Lindsey watched on with a smile as Soren expressionlessly finished these words like he was reciting from a book. After he was done explaining, he looked at Sieben dotingly.

"Did you tie Sieben's hair for her?" Lindsey looked at the double ponytail on Sieben's head. It was no longer a messy ponytail like before.

Hearing Lindsey’s question, Soren, who was drinking water, choked for a moment and coughed incessantly until his face turned red.

Lindsey laughed and thought that they were too amusing.

"Lindsey..." Sieben called out to Lindsey. She was holding a Rubik's cube in her hand and easily broke it into two pieces from the middle before she started spinning it around.

Lindsey complained about his schedule and teased him. "You should also take a break since you have Sieben now. What if she forgets you if you’re gone for too long?"

Soren looked back at the girl who was squatting on the ground and muttering something. He smiled and shook his head. "She won’t."

He really treated Sieben like she was his daughter and took care of her very well. He would always give the best to her and even bought her a robot to play with because he was afraid that she would be bored. It was no wonder why Sieben was so clingy to him.

"So are you guys just gonna keep going like this?" Lindsey was always worried about Sieben’s condition. “What did that top neurologist from Denmark say about Sieben’s condition?”

At the mention of this, the smile on Soren’s face faded and he shook his head. "It’s not looking very promising. Sieben's condition is too complex. She could go for surgery, but no one can afford the risk of the surgery failing."

After saying that, Soren had a self-content smile and subconsciously looked at Sieben. "Actually, it doesn’t matter if she doesn’t recover. I’ll take care of her forever."

Soren just wanted to see Sieben happy every day. Her past was just too miserable.
