‘Wow, thanks for the attention and for giving me such a flea-sized desk!’

"Mr. Quentin, then can you please pass it on to your president that there's really no need to open up a small office just for me. The other employees from Hemera will feel that it’s unfair, which will cause dissatisfaction and will, in turn, impact the project."

Quentin went to the President’s office once again.

These two were merely separated by a door, yet they were using Quentin as a messenger. What was worse was that Quentin had no power to reject them. His face was stiff from smiling the entire time until the President finally gave the "kill order".

"Ms. Juhl, the President said that if you don’t start work as soon as possible, it might delay the progress of the project." Quentin rubbed his hands together and felt the chills.

The threat in this message was obvious. Zayn’s original sentence would not have been like this. It was most likely something like, “If you want Hemera to go bankrupt, then you can try and pester me again!”

Quentin put in a lot of effort in order not to offend either party.

Lindsey clenched her teeth and was extremely reluctant as she took a seat at her tiny desk.

In the spacious and luxuriously-decorated office next door, Zayn saw the petite figure behind the glass and smiled in satisfaction.

Quentin looked at his boss’s smile and looked at the one-way frosted glass. This glass panel looked frosted from the outside, but it was fully transparent from the inside of the office. When he thought about getting someone to replace this glass panel overnight yesterday, Quentin thought that his boss' insanity was truly unrivaled.

He could only secretly pray for Lindsey and retreated from the President’s office.

This was the first time Lindsey was assigned as a project leader. She had to do a lot of things in the morning and fortunately, Zayn did not give her a hard time again.

However, since she was not on the same floor as her team members, Lindsey had to keep running back and forth to smoothly carry out and hand over all the work. Every time she did so, she cursed Zayn in her heart.

The person in charge on Denarius' side had much more responsibilities compared to Lindsey but did not show any dissatisfaction after knowing that Lindsey had little experience.

The employees of Denarius were also very polite to the employees of Hemera.

All but Jenny Lenig.

"Ms. Lenig, I heard that Lindsey was personally designated by the President to be in charge," Jane whispered in Jenny's ear.

Jenny was holding a stack of papers and Jane watched breathlessly as the papers crumpled into a ball in Jenny's hand.

"You said that the other Hemera employees are downstairs and only Lindsey Juhl was arranged to be upstairs?"

Jane replied, "Yes, right outside the President's office, but I just went up to take a look while delivering something. It seems like the President arranged this location for her to deliberately make fun of her. The space is small and dark, even the air conditioning can’t reach that place."

She had a gloating smile on her face as she said this. Jenny heard it and felt more at ease.

Jane initially did not understand why Jenny was targeting Lindsey from the Hemera Corporation because the two of them seemed to have no interactions. Now, it seemed that Lindsey and Mr. Guggenheim knew each other. Moreover, with Lindsey’s pretty face, any woman would feel insecure.

Based on their looks, Jenny and Lindsey were quite similar, but their temperaments could not be more different. Jenny always put on an act in front of others, but Lindsey was real, especially that pair of clean and pure eyes, which made her look very affable.

"Have you finished last quarter's report?" Jenny put down what she was holding and folded her arms as she looked at the coffee on her desk.

Jane quickly came back to her senses and said, "It's done. I'll print it out for you right away."

"Well done! Thanks for your hard work." Jenny was very satisfied with Jane’s work efficiency.

The report was quickly delivered to her and Jenny casually praised Jane before sending her away. Jenny then went upstairs wearing her high heels to "hand in the report".

Jenny looked at Quentin with a smile and said, "Mr. Quentin, you seem to be talking a lot more today, huh? Ms. Juhl and I are old acquaintances trying to catch up on old times, so you can go ahead and get back to work."

Quentin was a little hesitant. He looked at the frosted glass panel and went back to his desk with a stack of documents.

Jenny saw him leave and walked over to Lindsey's tiny table. She then leaned her body forward, close to Lindsey.

"I thought that Zayn brought you over here to compensate you, but I never thought that he’d place you here. Zayn has never let me down when it comes to humiliating you."

Zayn looked up and with a glance, he saw Jenny sitting by Lindsey’s side. She was saying something with a smile on her face, while Lindsey kept nudging backward because of Jenny’s movements. After hearing what Jenny said, Lindsey’s expression changed abruptly.

He saw that Lindsey wanted to say something but tried her best to hold back and gradually put down the documents in his hand.

Lindsey kept telling herself that since she was currently at the Denarius office and that Jenny was a Denarius staff, she should just endure it.

Moreover, they were in front of Zayn’s office at the moment.

She tried her best to hold back, but in the end, she could not endure it any longer.

Why should she be patient in front of Zayn?!

Lindsey said slowly, "Ms. Lenig, you’ve never let me down either when it comes to meddling in someone else’s business. Moreover, you’re extraordinarily accomplished in your dedication to being a mistress."

Jenny was so furious that her face became distorted. Zayn initially wanted to get up, but when he saw Jenny’s enraged face, he sat back down and casually watched the girl behind the glass panel.

He was interested to see what Lindsey would do when she was pushed to her limit.
