Stephanie Lindt felt wobbly and held the door frame to steady herself. After a long time, she raised her voice and shouted inside. "Henry, Shaun’s back!"

Shaun waited patiently. A few minutes later, he was seated in the spacious living room.

"Shaun, when did you get back?" Stephanie could not hide her excitement and held Shaun's hand.

Shaun pulled his hand away and told them the truth. "I've been back for more than half a year."

Even though Stephanie did not like Shaun’s cold attitude, she did not show it because her son had just returned.

"You've been back for so long and didn’t even contact us?" Stephanie complained, then added, "Have you eaten yet? Are you hungry? I’ll go cook for you."

Shaun pulled Stephanie back, who was about to go into the kitchen to cook for him. He said, "I'm not hungry, so you don't have to cook. I just came back to see you guys and there are some things I want to ask you."

Stephanie and Henry, who were sitting in silence, suddenly changed their expressions.

"Is it about that little brat?"

Shaun looked up at his parents and said, "I’m now working in the same company as Lindsey."

He intended to remind Stephanie not to go overboard. He was aware of what they did, but Stephanie misinterpreted it.

"What? Did that brat complain to you? Your father and I have worked so hard to raise you for decades, but you went abroad and lost contact with us. Once you return, you didn’t even tell us. Instead, you’re with that little vixen? I think you forgot who’s your real family!"

It felt like Shaun had heard the exact same words a few years ago, but the only difference was that Lindsey was scolded together with him then, and he was all alone this time.

Stephanie was still furious. She pointed at Shaun and said, "Look where your father and I are living now! Our family is bankrupt, so how are we wrong to look for Lindsey? We’ve raised her for so many years, so what’s wrong with her giving us some money? What's the point of raising her if I don't use her for the family's benefit?"

Next to her, Henry coughed heavily, signaling for Stephanie to stop.

Shaun's bright and handsome face was now grim.

"Mom, Dad, do you only care for benefits?"

"Shaun, who do you think we’re doing this for?" Henry’s voice was deep as he spoke.

Henry tried to show a father’s dignity, but Shaun was unfazed. Henry’s dignity was long gone from his repeated actions.

Shaun took a deep breath trying to suppress some of the emotions that were about to rush out. He then spoke again sternly, "Don't think you’re so smart. Why do you think Zayn went after the Juhls? Haven't that taught you enough?"

"Bastard! How dare you talk to your parents like this?" Henry yelled.

It was unclear which words Shaun was offended by as his eyes changed instantly. He stood up and straightened the hem of his shirt. His eyes were filled with disappointment.

"Mom, Dad, don't be too greedy."

If Lindsey was here, she never would have thought that the gentle and polite Shaun had such a cold side to him.

Shaun ignored Stephanie’s hysterical shouts behind him and turned to walk out of this suffocating home.

If Shaun had known that his actions would bring trouble to Lindsey again, he would have chosen a gentler approach.

Zayn had a splitting headache and sat up rubbing the back of his neck, only to find himself naked on the upper half of his body with a thin blanket that someone put on him. As he got up, the blanket slipped down to his waist.

A small lamp was lit on the bedside. Zayn squinted his eyes and glanced at the bedside table that had a half-empty glass of hangover tea.

Other than that, there was no one else in the large room.

Zayn had never been this drunk before, but he was not oblivious. He even remembered what happened to him after he was drunk.

At this time, looking at the empty room, Zayn viciously slammed the headboard.

The door opened in response to the sound.

After saying that, he coldly swept a glance at Lindsey.

The maid led the old couple in and it was indeed Stephanie Lindt and Henry Juhl.

"Is there something wrong?" Zayn spoke.

"What are you guys doing in my house?" Lindsey asked.

Zayn did not have any intention to invite the old couple to sit and talk. He just looked at them with a dull face.

Henry had never been able to understand this young man. He sniffed lightly and gestured for Stephanie to speak.

Stephanie was dressed like a socialite today. Her dressing and jewelry were so exquisite that no one could tell that the Juhls had long been bankrupt.

Zayn did not ask them to take a seat, but Stephanie and Henry helped themselves and took a seat in the living room, facing Zayn and Lindsey.

Stephanie lifted her eyes and looked at Lindsey. "Look at you, this girl...Can’t Mom come over to see you?"

She then looked at Zayn and said, "I came to see Lindsey because there are indeed some things I need help with."

"Let’s talk outside." Lindsey quickly said as she picked up her bag, ready to leave.

"Wait." Zayn suddenly spoke as he stared straight at Lindsey. "You can just talk here."

Stephanie rolled her eyes at Lindsey and said, “Yeah, Zayn’s right. We’re family, so why can’t Zayn know about it?”

Lindsey did not doubt that these two did not have good intentions coming here, so she was anxious and interjected, "We’re no longer family."

"You little brat! You..."

"What did you come here for? Just say it!" Zayn impatiently interrupted her.
