That’s right. He bought a big villa for Helen; that was their home. He ate meals, watched movies, and slept with her there… just like he used to with her.

Even during thunderstorms, he stayed by Helen’s side.

Heather shook her head, her eyes red.

"I don’t need you. Just go."

The emotions in James’s eyes were unreadable. He stared at Heather for a long time before suddenly laughing bitterly.

He picked up his phone without hesitation and answered, "Don’t be afraid. Wait for me, I’ll be right back."

He hung up the phone, didn’t spare her another glance, and left immediately.

Heather watched his figure disappear at the door, burying her face in the blanket, her tears silently falling.

A few nights later, fireworks bloomed in the night sky, as if celebrating some grand occasion.

On the huge LED screen of Spencer Corporation’s building, several bright words lit up:

J&H, Forever Together.

The Spencer Corporation building was one of the local landmarks, and almost everyone saw this message.

Heather received messages from a few of her university friends.

"Heather, everyone saw James’s public declaration of love for you! He really loves you and wants to be with you forever."

"Heather, I’m so envious of you. Your husband is handsome and rich, and he’s willing to make all these romantic gestures for you."

Heather smiled bitterly because she knew the "H" on the screen wasn’t for her, but for Helen.

Today was the anniversary of James and Helen, and he was publicly declaring his love for Helen, making her happy.

Heather was about to put her phone down when another new message popped up.

It was from James.

"Come to this address. Wear the red dress I gave you."

James often took her to social events to maintain the perfect husband image, so this request didn’t surprise Heather.

What surprised her was that tonight was his anniversary with Helen, yet he wasn’t with her.
