"That is absolutely ridiculous. Humans are weak. If you're going to make a joke. Make sure it's a funny one." My brother responds and our father just nods his head slowly.

"Well, I'd like to meet our future Queen, Walter. Bring her in whenever-

"What-do-you-mean-Queen?" My darling brother rushed through his words, his eyes about to fall out of his head.

"I may be old, and bad at telling jokes. But anyone will tell you that if there are more than one boy in a royal bloodline, the one that finds a mate first must wear the crown." Father announces, gingerly getting up from his chair and grabbing his glass of whiskey.

"But I am older!" My brother slammed his fist against the table, my glass of wine fell and shattered on the ground, and I flinch off the chair when some wine spilt on me.

"What the fuck man?!" I curse at him.

"Father, do you not hear me Walter can-

"Enough!" Father yelled at the top of his voice and even though my brother was stubborn and wanted to talk his way out of a situation, his wolf along with mine whimpered at the exuberant power that rolled off our father.

"I will not hear another word from your mouth boy! Just accept that your brother got his mate before you and there is no fighting the Sacred law. Either you're with us or against us. Do you understand me boy?!" Father yelled at him, and I will admit that I felt a tad bit sorry. Heck! I don't even know how to lead a pack. He clearly deserves this more than I do.

"Father, what if I relapse - he clearly knows how to run t-things around here, which is quite obvious." I try to fend for him, and his face was in a slightly shocked state. "I heard the door slightly creak and I saw my brother attend to whoever walked in, but my attention was brought back to my father when he began to speak.
