Although she was famished, she took one bite of food after the other in a calm and composed manner. She barely made any sound as she ate.

Benjamin and Shannon enjoyed the food together. He was quite pleased that she made no sound when they ate.

He didn't like having meals with others mostly because he didn't like the noise some people made when they ate. It disturbed him.

Even when he'd have dinner with his clients, he'd always be quiet when he ate. He wouldn't talk or chat when he ate.

To him, there was a time to talk business and a time to eat. These two things shouldn't clash with each other.

When Shannon was done, she thanked Benjamin for the food. Julian then led her out of the house and sent her back to the Jensen residence.

When Julian returned, Benjamin was watching the news in the living room.

Julian couldn't help but ask, "Mr. Cooper, why didn't you send Ms. Jensen home yourself?"

The Jensen residence and the Cooper residence weren't that far, anyway. Benjamin could've gone out for a walk with Shannon after dinner.

The streets were decorated with lights. It would've been romantic if the two of them had gone on a stroll.

Benjamin didn't seem to get what Julian was hinting at. He turned to Julian and asked, "What did Shannon tell you?"

Benjamin's response rendered Julian speechless.

Helpless, Julian replied, "Nothing. She was quiet and well-mannered all the time. She even thanked me when I left."

Benjamin's ears perked a little at Julian's compliment for Shannon. There was a hint of a smile in his eyes when he looked at Julian.

A moment later, he said, "You were probably mistaken."

Shannon wasn't the quiet type nor was she obedient. She merely looked like she was.

Benjamin recalled the serious expression she wore when she faced evil spirits and found Julian's comment about her rather amusing.

Not feeling like dwelling on the topic, Benjamin stood up and headed upstairs.
