"Shan!" Mitchell and his team were startled. They were about to dismantle the protective array and rush forward when two figures were a step ahead.

Hector and Adam swiftly caught Shannon just as she was about to hit the ground and firmly supported her from both sides.

Scott was a step behind and couldn't be of help. He could only anxiously pace behind them.

Shannon had momentarily blacked out due to the overwhelming depletion of her spiritual energy.

In that brief instant of dizziness, she didn't notice a nearly invisible red thread slipping away as the talismanic array was dismantled.

Pinned to the ground, Cecily was the only one who did notice. She instinctively raised her head and glanced at the thread for just a second before quickly lowering her gaze again.

Shannon recovered almost instantly; her eyes regained clarity though her complexion was still pale. She regained her footing with Hector and Adam's help.

Then, she raised her hand and dismissed the protective array around Benjamin before stepping forward to check on his condition.

Seeing that he was still unconscious, she reached out and intended to lift him off the ground. But Hector and Adam quickly intervened and took over.

Hector had a rare stern look on his face. "I've called doctors from both the Jensen and Copper families. He'll be fine; you need to get some rest."

Shannon shook her head. "I'm fine. I need to see him with my own eyes."

Though Adam was grateful to Benjamin for taking the hit from the lightning to protect Shannon, he was still concerned about her. She was clearly exhausted yet still obsessed with Benjamin.
