Chapter 119 

Lily left the staircase but didn’t head to the fourth floor. Instead, she circled to the back door on the first floor and ran out. 

Hazel started calling her relentlessly as soon as she hopped into a taxi at the hospital entrance. To avoid any issues with Hayden, she had removed Hazel’s number from her blacklist. 

Call after call came through, leaving her no chance to blacklist the number again. 

The driver glanced at her through the rearview mirror. “Miss, why aren’t you answering your phone?” 

“Telemarketing calls,” Lily muttered as she seized the opportunity to block Hazel’s number again. 

But soon after, Hazel bombarded her with messages on WhatsApp 

“You made your father angry, yet he still wants to care for you and plan your future. How ungrateful can you 

be? 

“If the Fulton family really throws you out, and you become second–hand goods, which good man would still want you? 

“Even if you marry someone else, you must still have children. Don’t neglect your health!” 

Lily directly replied, “I have no health problems.” She didn’t remain silent this time. 

Hazel stopped texting and handed the phone to Bobby. 

“Honey, look what Lily replied. After marrying into the Fulton family, she also had a check–up. If there were any problerns, they would have been found by now. Maybe it’s something else?” 

Bobby furiously shook his head, his mind spinning 

“I don’t care what the problem is. You must make sure she gets pregnant with the Fulton family’s child as soon as possible!” 

Hazel, anxious and sweating, stammered, “I how am I supposed to make her pregnant? Besides, it’s the Fulton family. If they really want a divorce, will she even be wanted just because she’s pregnant? 

“At least if she has a child, she can get child support. The Fulton family would give her more in a year than we make in a lifetime!” 

Bobby stormed toward the hospital exit. “With Hayden like this and Lily still not listening, you, as her mother, don’t even know what you’re doing. If this doesn’t work, get out of the Joyner family!” 

“Honey, I’ll figure it out. Don’t worry. We’ve been married for over 20 years. You can’t be so heartless..” 

Hazel cried as she chased after him. 

After the ordeal at the hospital, Lily returned home around 8:00 p.m. Emma had already left, and the first floor was quiet. 

The bedroom door on the second floor was slightly ajar, light spilling through. She went upstairs to the bedroom again, but when she opened the door, she found the room empty 

Xavier’s car was 

sparked in the yard, so he had to be home. But…. 

She pressed her lips together and went downstairs to prepare a simple dinner. Halfway through her meal, footsteps came from upstairs. 

The man wore gray–black satin loungewear with gold–framed glasses perched on his nose. Under the lenses, his narrow eyes were slightly squinted, and his entire demeanor radiated coldness and nobility. 

Lily looked up at him. “I went to the hospital to see Hayden and returned a bit late.”
