Of the Internet stories I have ever read, perhaps the most impressive one is Her Heart Her Terms (Lily and Xavier). The story is too good, leaving me with many doubts. Currently, the manga has been translated to Chapter 124. Let's read the author's Her Heart Her Terms (Lily and Xavier) Internet story right here.
Chapter 124
The sudden gaze that quickly pulled away left Lily unsettled. She noticed a flash of bright red through the gap in the driver’s seat and instinctively reached through to retrieve the object.
It was a lipstick from an expensive brand. But the shade… It was the one Sarah had worn the first time they met.
A wave of suffocating emotion hit her, and Lily couldn’t help but inhale deeply.
Xavier, sensing something was off, glanced over at her. “What’s wrong?” he asked, confused by her reaction to some lipstick as though it might kill her.
Lily’s fingers tightened around the lipstick, turning pale. She tried to steady herself, looking straight ahead as she slipped the lipstick into the compartment.
“Ms. Lynde must have left it behind,” she said casually as if nothing were amiss. “I’ll make sure to return it to her someday.”
But in her attempt to stay composed, she inadvertently revealed that the lipstick belonged to Sarah.
“Is that so?” Xavier asked, his frown deepening. He couldn’t remember the last time Sarah had been in his car.
When the light turned green, he released the brake and stepped on the accelerator.
The car moved forward, but the tension over the lipstick lingered. It was Lily’s burden alone, and the car was so quiet that even the slightest sound could
be heard.
She should have maintained her composure, but now, like this, she felt embarrassed by her own feelings.
The car stopped at the Maybach dealership. Even the priciest cars Lily had looked at earlier were far more affordable than the cheapest models here.
She glanced at Xavier, who seemed determined to buy her a top–tier car. Since he was paying, she had no choice but to go along with it.
“Any preferences?” he asked as they got out of the car.
Lily thought momentarily before replying. “Something suitable for a woman but not too expensive.”
Xavier opened the car door and stepped out. The staff from the dealership immediately approached them.
Perhaps Lily’s request was too vague, so Xavier simply told the staff, “Let her choose.”
The staff immediately led her inside.
The showroom was filled with luxury cars, their sharp lines and polished surfaces gleaming under the overhead lights.
The space was packed with people in flashy outfits, but Lily, dressed plainly, quickly understood why Xavier had asked her to change clothes before coming
She glanced out the window, Xavier hadn’t entered the store. He was standing by the ledge, smoking a cigarette with one hand while casually scrolling through his phone.
She turned back to the staff. “Show me something affordable and suitable for a woman.‘
The staff member smiled briefly, lowering their voice. “Are you sure? It’s rare to get the chance to buy a car. If you go for something too cheap, you might regret it.”
Lily paused, realizing the staff member had misunderstood her relationship with Xavier.
