“What time do you usually finish work each day?” Lily asked, feeling a bit guilty for asking Terence for help, especially after hearing from Maryanne that he’d been busy lately. 

Terence thought for a moment before answering. “If you need anything, feel free to contact me. If I’m not busy, I’ll reply immediately. If I am, it might take a little longer. Is that okay?” 

Lily quickly nodded. “That’s fine. You can reply when you have time. Anyway, several days remain, so I’m not in a rush.” 

“In a rush for what?” Maryanne, having finished ordering, turned around and asloed. “Aren’t you in a rush for the divorce? 

Lily’s mouth twitched slightly at her words. 

“Not in a rush for dinner,” Terence said, giving his sister a playful glare. “Have you ordered everything you like?” 

Maryanne nodded vigorously, like a chick pecking for food. “Of course, I’ve ordered everything. You’re paying, so I won’t hold back.” 

Terence was stunned. “Aren’t you paying? 

“You’re a grown man who’s eating with us two girls. How can you let us pay?” Maryanne teased Terence with complete confidence. “If you keep this up, you’ll never find a wife,” 

Lily couldn’t help but laugh at Maryanne’s teasing. “Alright. Enough joking, Really, I’ll pay.” 

“My brother will definitely be single in the future,” Maryanne rolled her eyes. “Making girls pay.” Terence smiled helplessly but didn’t argue. Instead, he pinched the bridge of his nose in resignation. 

Soon, the waiter arrived with the food, and the group ate quietly, occasionally discussing the movie’s plot. Two hours later, the small gathering came to an end. Terence drove them back to the entrance of the cinema.
