“Sorry, Terence. I saw someone outside…” Lily blurted out, flustered, as she realized she had entered without knocking 

It was definitely rude behavior. 

“It’s fine.” Terence put his phone down and smiled at her. “I just finished the call.” 

Life rarely had true coincidences. What were the odds of a phone call ending the moment one stopped talking? 

Nevertheless, Lily still felt embarrassed. “Next time, let’s not meet in your office. You can just message me instead.” 

“It’s my fault for not thinking ahead. I shouldn’t have brought you to my office and made you feel awkward.” Terence gestured to the chale arron

“But since you’re already here, we’ll just make the most of it. I brought lunch, and it’s getting cold”

“Why did you even arrange hinch?” Lilly quickly walked over. “I already ordered lunch!” Since she was asking, Terence for help, she wanted to treat

Terence immediately responded, “It’s not too late to cancel. Otherwise, we’ll waste it.” 

“Terence, if you keep doing this, I’ll feel embarrassed to ask for your help next time,” Lily said honestly, stepping back 

Yes, they should cancel it if it was a waste, but she wanted to make sure things were clear. 

But Terence always knew how to read the situation. He never made her feel uncomfortable, yet somehow managed to have her accept things without hesitation 

“What makes you so sure I won’t come to you for help someday?” he teased. “Are you already planning to turn me down?” 

Lily couldn’t help but smile. “Of course not…” 

Terence’s smile sottened. “Sit down. Let’s not waste time. Tell me about your design. ” 

The food was all laid out, and the office was filled with the delicious aroma. 

His office was completely different from Xavier’s. The light cream–colored desk, cabinets, and pale–colored sata, bathed in the intense midda created a cozy, inviting atmosphere.. 

And the man in front of her, his gentle features always lit with a smile in his eyes, made her feel at ease. 

Lily relaxed without realizing it, eating while discussing her designs with Terence. 

“This drawing does have a few flaws, but it’s definitely good enough to pass the preliminaries. My suggestion is that you shouldn’t show something perfect right from the start.” 

Her work had some imperfections but was far above the average designer’s standard. 

A work that was too flawless could create unrealistically high expectations, which would only add pressure for the u
