Lily was dressed in a light beige ensemble, her long hair tied in a casual low ponytail. 

Her delicate face was bare without makeup, and the bite mark on her lips added a touch of sensuality. It was impossible to not let the mind wander. 

When she almost reached Xavier, she suddenly paused and turned around to fetch a white towel. 

“The snow is heavy today, and the weather forecast said there will be a blizzard tonight,” Lily saki. 

She tiptoed to brush off the snowflakes on his head. As she stretched her arm out, her top lifted slightly and revealed her fair, slender waist. The flash of pale skin caught Xavier’s eyes 

He stood perfectly straight and still as he watched her fuss around him with some effort. “All done.” 

Lily’s arms felt sore after clearing off the snow from his head and shoulders, but she ignored it and set the towel aside to help him remove his cost. Xavier remained still at the same spot and stretched out his arms slightly, allowing her to circle him. 

Once Lily hung up his coat, she picked up the towel and returned it to its place. 

Emma brought the final bowl of soup to the table and said as she removed her apron, “Mr. Fulton, 1 bought extra groceries today on my way here. The roads will be hard to travel on with the snow, so I won’t be coming in tomorrow,”

“You can stay here tonight,” Xavier said as he looked outside. The snowfall was getting heavier. 

“Neither you nor Mrs. Fulton will be able to go to work tomorrow with this weather. I won’t stay to disturb your time together,” Emma said. She smiled meaningfully and cast a knowing glance in the direction Lily had disappeared to. 

That single glance stirred a wave of mockery deep within Xavier. 

It was Lily who insisted on hiring a housekeeper. Now it was also Lily who wanted some private time with him and told Emma she need not come in tomorrow. He could always guess her little schemes. 

When Lily returned from putting away the towel, she suddenly sensed something was wrong with the atmosphere. 

“Mrs. Fulton, could you please clean up the table later? I’ll be leaving first.” Emma donned her coat and prepared to leave. 

Lily escorted Emma to the door, and as soon as it opened, a biting cold swept in and pierced through her thin clothing. Lily shivered from the chill. 

“Emma, the roads are already bad. Please stay tonight,” Lily asked again. She had already tried to convince Emma to stay earlier. 

However, Emma was adamant about leaving and said, “The car’s waiting outside. Eddy is a steady driver, so don’t you worry.” 

As Emma stepped out and turned to close the door, she patted Lily’s hand. “I’ve been making nourishing meals lately. You have worked hard, but Mrs. Fulton Senior is anxious, so please bear with it a little longer.” 

What Emma meant was the cut on Lily’s lips, as well as the mottled kiss marks on her neck. The situation couldn’t be described as intense, but brutal. When Lily realized what Emma meant, she immediately raised a hand to cover her neck. She had chosen the most conservative loungewear she had, but It wasn’t enough to cover up the marks. 

“Emma…” Lily’s gaze was conflicted, and she wanted to tell Emma to stop with the meals. Xavier’s body was perfectly fine. 

Emma didn’t give Lily a chance to speak and said, “It’s cold, so go back inside quickly. Mr. Fulton is waiting for you, I’ll be off now.” 

Lily parted her lips slightly and watched Emma leave hastily. She couldn’t help but let out a deep sigh. She had thought Edith had forgotten about this
