Chapter 94 

Lily said, “You’ll never be able to turn things back to how they were before!” 

“If we don’t, Hayden is done for.” Bobby’s face was resolute. “Since he’s gotten out of prison, he hasn’t been himself. We rushed him to a doctor overnight, and he’s been diagnosed with severe mental health issues. 

“We had to hire one of the top therapists in the country, and his monthly treatment costs at least 10 thousand dollars. How are we supposed to afford that?” 

A pang of dull pain spread through Lily’s chest. “What… What happened to Hayden?” 

“Go see for yourself.” It was true that Bobby wanted to restore the Joyner family’s glory, but it was also true that Hayden needed urgent help. 

A pained look clouded his expression. “Without the Fulton family’s support, we will be bankrupt in no time. We won’t just fall short on the ten thousand dollars for his treatment every month; we’ll also owe the bank millions!” 

Two years ago, the Joyner family had lost everything in a failed investment. 

After Xavier had married Lily, he’d offered the Joyner family connections and resources but had never given them money directly. 

Desperate, Bobby had taken out loans to keep his business afloat, and while he’d made a decent amount of money, his ambitions had only grown. He’d kept borrowing to fund larger ventures, but now the Joyner family was a shell of what it once was. 

“Where is Hayden?” Lily did not care about the Joyner family’s finances. Her mind was consumed with thoughts of her younger brother. 

“He’s at Jadeford Central Hospital…” 

Before he could finish, she pushed past him and ran out of the room. He had no idea why she and Xavier were divorcing, but now that she’d left, he had no choice but to leave as well. He was unwilling to face Xavier alone. 

Timothy soon reported their departure. 

“They left?” Xavier frowned. 

“It seemed like there was an urgent matter,” Timothy replied, unaware of Hayden’s condition. 

“Look into it.” Xavier adjusted his watch, his expression unreadable. 

After about half an hour, Timothy came back with information. “Hayden was admitted to Jadeford Central Hospital last night with a serious mental health condition. He’s undergoing 

treatment.” 

Xavier had met Hayden a few times. Hayden had been friendly and resilient, with a sunny disposition. He knew Lily and Hayden were close. 

After a moment’s thought, he stood up and grabbed his coat. “Let’s go to the hospital.” 

Hayden hadn’t eaten much when he’d gotten home the night before and had gone straight to his room. In the middle of the night, a loud bang from Hayden’s room had woken Hazel and Bobby. 

They’d rushed in to find Hayden curled up in a corner, holding his head while crying and shouting. “I didn’t mean to! I didn’t mean to hit you with the car…” 

They’d tried to calm him down, hugging and soothing him, but nothing had worked. Desperate, they’d taken him to the hospital. 

Ever since the accident, Hayden had barely slept during his time in prison. That pent–up anguish had finally exploded after his release from prison.
