Taimur

He was looking into the cool blue pools of her, which had always held a promise to drown him in them.

She hadn't changed if he remembered, she had just gotten more beautiful with the years. Her golden curls were shorter than before just to her shoulder trimmed into layers.

Her sensual lips were covered in a pink shade, she was wearing a white blouse and a grey pencil skirt which ended just below her knees.

Her face was without makeup, still as fresh and lovely as he remembered. And her eyes, they were fixed on him.

He didn't remember how much time had passed when Riyadh standing behind him cleared his throat and he came out of his trance.

"Good morning, Mrs. Rodriguez, I hope you are having a good day", He smiled and said.

Taimur never found smiling such a difficult task before today, seeing her after so many years had given him a shock.

" Good Morning, your highness. Yes, I am", She replied to him with a smile.

Taimur was amazed at how wonderfully she had composed herself, without giving anyone a hint, that they knew each other.

The Director escorted him to the hall, the auditorium was packed with the students. He was lead to the stage directly, after the welcome speech and annual report of the school they were lead to the VIP seats.

The cultural program lasted for one hour, he was scanning the hall for a glimpse of her. But it was difficult to find her because of the dim lighting.

He looked for Riyadh, he was sitting quite far from him with one of the staff members. He wanted to ask him what conversation he had with Eva.

Riyadh had stayed outside the hall after they had met the teaching staff, and he was sure Riyadh would have spoken with Eva. There was no other reason for him to have stayed behind when Taimur was here.

He had seen Riyadh enter the auditorium nearly after fifteen minutes, but he was alone, there was no sign of Eva with him.

He had scanned the whole auditorium just for a glimpse of her again and again but without success. Was she hiding from him?

The Director had called her Mrs. Rodriguez, which meant she had got married and moved on.

It was not that he was angry or mad at her for getting married, she had every right to move on in her life.

It was just that he had not wanted to meet her again in his life. Seeing her today was completely unpredictable.

The regret of letting her go was catching upon him.

There couldn't have been worse timing then this for him meeting Eva. When his life was in turmoil, Alia was still depressed regarding the news that she couldn't conceive again.

His father was planning something evil behind his back, he was getting tired of Sikander and his schemes.

"It was her daughter and her husband I guess", He heard Riyadh say.

He turned and looked at Riyadh, so his suspicion was correct Riyadh had stayed behind to speak with Eva.

"You spoke to her?" He asked.

"Yeah wanted to catch up with an old friend", Riyadh replied.

"I didn't know you both were friends?" Taimur felt a pang of jealousy.

"She was inquiring about Ayesha and Laila", Riyadh had ignored his question.

He knew very well the reason Riyadh has ignored his question, Eva had not once shown any indication of speaking with him or inquiring about him.

She had never really cared about him, it never really mattered to her if he lived or died.

And here he was a fool regretting letting her go, he was in hell for the last few days.

He still didn't know why he had told Riyadh he was regretting that he let Eva leave out of the blue.

He was worried about Alia, she was not taking the news in a good way. He was concerned about what Sikander was planning.
