He stood there trying to absorb what she had just spoken, John looked at them both in confusion and left his office.

Eva was still standing in front of the door sobbing, Taimur's heart melted at the sight of her. But he knew not to get carried away by her.

He took calculated steps and stood a few inches away from her, she was a complete mess. Taimur pulled out his handkerchief from his pocket and placed it in her hand.

Eva looked at the handkerchief for a few seconds and then looked at Taimur with astonishment in her tear-filled blue eyes.

Don't fall for her act, he reminded himself, she was like this from the start trying to play innocent when she had a hidden agenda against him.

"He took her, it was my mistake. I was talking to her and the next moment I noticed she was gone" She said between sobs.

Taimur was trying to make sense of what she was trying to say. Who had taken her and with whom she was talking?

He let her cry her heart out till she was calm and her sobs had halted.

"Tell me what happened, from the start," He said to her when he thought she was in a condition to talk.

"I was at a grocery store with Emma, and my neighbor approached me, I spoke to her for a few minutes and when I looked around Emma was gone"

"I looked everywhere in the store but she had disappeared. Then I received a call from a man he said he had Emma and" She discontinued.

"And?" Taimur was getting restless.

"He said he didn't want any money and he wanted me to tell you that he has your daughter," She said with her head bowed down.

" Why did he want you to tell me?" He asked her.

" I don't know, he didn't say his motive he just texted me your address and told me to tell you about our daughter" She replied.

"Our daughter?" Taimur asked, looking at her bowed head.

Eva shot her eyes at him at that instance and when she found him looking at her with condemnation in his eyes she bowed her head again.

" I am sorry" She whispered.

"You are what?" He asked her trying to keep his voice low.

All he wanted to do was strangulate her to death, the woman had been hiding his daughter from him since 5yrs.

"I am sorry Taimur, I know I shouldn't have hidden this from you, but I didn't know how you would react. You were engaged when I found out about the pregnancy and there was nothing anyone of us could have done", She said looking at him.

"What do you want, tell me the amount it will be transferred within an hour in whichever country you like," Taimur said.

The man just gave out a laugh on his words which was filled with amusement.

"You think I want money?" He asked.

"I can't think of any other reason for which you kidnapped my daughter" Taimur replied.

"Oh yes there is Jahaan, I want you to suffer. To feel the pain of losing someone you love" The man said.

"Look, I will do whatever you want, just please don't hurt my daughter", Taimur was suddenly anxious.

If the man didn't want money and he wanted to hurt Taimur he could kill his daughter to hurt Taimur.

" Don't worry, I won't harm children. She will be safe with me, I just want you to feel the pain. You never met her did you?" He asked.

Taimur didn't reply, he just looked at Eva in rage. She was the reason he had never seen his daughter.

He noticed Eva taking a step backward due to the rage she saw in his eyes. She was afraid of him, and he would make sure she pays for what she had done.
