“Come inside with mel Easton commanded, pulling her into the house regardless of her willingness

“Let me go! You creep! Ellis struggled with all her might against Easton, but couldn’t break free, her eyes blazing with anger. “You’ll definitely get what’s coming to you!”

“Before you curse me with karma, could you use your tiny brain to think about what would happen if you fell from up there?” Easton easily restrained her flailing arms, looking down at her with a stern gaze. “Do you really want to die?”

He had come to Dynasty Estate to see Ellis like a bird in a cage, unable to escape his grasp, not to watch her risk her life climbing down the wall. The sight had a much more profound impact than when he had rescued her from a kidnapping.

“Whether I want to die is none of your business!” Ellis glared at the dead scumbag in front of her. “If I had actually died, it would have been your fault!”

“What am I supposed to say to you? Can’t you just stay quietly in your room?” Easton frowned deeply and said, “Do you have any idea how scared I was when I saw you climbing down?”

Seeing her climbing brought a familiar yet strange fear over him.

“Easy for you to say! Why don’t you try being good? If I locked you up, I’d like to see what you would do.” Ellis shot back coldly, “So I scared you, so what? You expect me to compensate you for emotional distress? Get real!”

Catching a glimpse of the bewildered butler beside them, Easton turned his head and said sharply, “From the third floor to the first! I told you to keep an eye on Ellis; is this how you do it?”

Initially, the butler was puzzled to see Ellis and Easton together on the first floor, having only been away from the third floor for at most ten minutes. How did Ellis get down so quickly and end up with Easton?

After overhearing their conversation and feeling the intense pressure from Easton, the butler broke into a sweat and stuttered, “Sir, I-”

Ellis jumped in to defend the butler, who had just given her 1400 dollars in cash. “Easton, are you sick? Trying to regain one’s freedom is natural, and it has nothing to do with the butler. Stop picking on him!”

The girl spoke up for the butler without considering her own safety, as if scaling the wall to the first floor was just a normal warm–up for her. Easton was so curious he almost wanted to dissect her brain to see what was inside.

With a cutting glare from Easton, the butler bowed his head under the pressure. “Sir, I’m sorry, I failed to do my job. Please forgive me.”

Turning back to Ellis, Easton pointed at her temple, “Don’t do anything as stupid as climbing walls again; remember you only have one life.”

A slight pain spread from her temple, and Ellis irritably punched Easton in the chest.

“Get lost; I want to go to sleep!”

She hadn’t escaped today; chalk it up to bad luck. Tomorrow, she’d definitely find a new way out.

Ellis resisted the urge to smash the phone on Easton’s face.

This scumbag took me away right in front of Carly, and now he wants me to report my safety to her? What kind of madness is this?

She wanted to throw the phone aside, but seeing the call was already in progress, she removed the anger from her tone, “Ms. Carly.”

After leaving Hudson Group, Carly had visited Dynasty Estate once but unfortunately couldn’t find out anything significant and had to leave without accomplishing her mission.

Now hearing Ellis’s call from Easton’s number, Carly felt slightly reassured.

“Ellis, Easton, he…”

Carly paused, and Ellis understood the implication.

“I’m fine; he hasn’t done anything to me; it’s just…”

Before she could finish, the phone suddenly felt empty in her hand; Easton had taken it away.
