Of the Internet stories I have ever read, perhaps the most impressive one is Konstantin: The Heartless Beta. The story is too good, leaving me with many doubts. Currently, the manga has been translated to 49. Trust Me?. Let's read the author's Konstantin: The Heartless Beta Internet story right here.
Konstantin
Kai looks like he’s about to kill someone. After Lily told us what she discussed with Alpha Bastien and what he suggested, he wanted to start a war with The Harem King. Not to mention what Cat saw in her visions about Lily’s split futures.
“I’m going to kill that pompous French piece of shit!” He exclaimed.
Cat pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed. “Let’s not make enemies out of one of the Five, Kai. We now know he sees Lily as a bride that got away; hopefully, it stops since he knows she’s Kon’s mate.”
Kai huffs, then he turns to Lily and pins her with a glare. “He told you the only way to solve the problem would be to kill my niece and nephew? Not just that, but why did you call him in the first place?!” He roars after pacing the living room floor.
Hey, I’m just as pissed off with her for calling someone else for help and even more so that she called fucking Alpha Bastien. Not just that, but although she is my mate, I have no intention of getting in between an Alpha and his duty to handle his warriors.
She clenches her fists and looks down. “His mother is known as the Queen of Curses, and I thought she could help-”
“Queen of Curses?” He exclaims, slamming his fists on the table. “We have the fucking mother of all witchcraft as a Pack Witch! You had no right calling someone outside the pack for aid, Lilith. Do you not trust us enough to help you?”
Her head shoots up when he asks this, and she shakes it frantically. “N-NO! I thought… I thought you wouldn’t want to help me with this and saw me as a stain on the pack….”
Her shoulders sag, and she sighs, this causes Kai’s anger to dissipate, and he walks over to her to embrace her. I can see her stiffening when he does, but then she eventually sinks into his arms.
“You are one of us, and we take care of our own. Please don’t ever forget that, Lily, you’re a Volkova, and we all love you very much. I don’t give a fuck what some serpent in your head says about that.” He says.
Lily mumbles a thank you into his chest then he unwraps himself from her. “Okay, now that that’s out of the way, we need to figure out who put that knife in Kaia’s crib and why. I would hate to fucking assume we have another traitor in the family, but from the looks of things, it might be one of our own.” He says.
I sigh but then chuckle, and they all look at me as if I’ve gone mad. “Always a fucking traitor, but this time you can thank my paranoid ass because I installed a nanny-cam in the nursery,” I say while holding up my cell phone.
Lily’s eyes widen, and she walks over to me. “What? I thought we agreed not to!” She says, and I frown at her.
“Well, aren’t you fucking glad I did? Because it was one of the child minders who put the fucking dagger there.” I say, then look away from her shocked face and hand the cell phone over to Kai. “I assume you want to sort this out.”
He nods and takes the cell from me. “We’ll deal with it, but first, we need to talk about what will happen tonight. You want the demonic side of you to be sealed away, right?” he asks Lily.
“Yes,” Lily answers with a nod. “If at all possible, I would like this for the twins as well and all the generations to follow after them. I”m not sure about Kaia, though.”
“Marle can sort that out too; we’ll just have to see what she has to say about it.” He says before letting out a sigh. “We’ll see you guys this evening.”
