Julian’s face was ghastly pale.

Annie stepped forward with a grim expression, her voice colder than ever.

“Let me tell you what happened! After you rushed back to Brindley to comfort Alicia, Ms. Harper lost her hearing due to barotrauma. The snowstorm that night in Padstow was so severe at everywhere was covered in thick snow.

Annie had been working for Willow for years, so she had witnessed all the pain and suffering that Willow had endured–all for this man standing before her. It wasn’t worth it.

When Heather heard Annie’s words, she held Willow tightly and cried.

Julian’s expression was one of unprecedented despair and regret.
