Chapter 316 The Terrifying Man of Abstinence
“Call me Nathael, Nathael murmured, nestling against her neck and speaking softly.
Maggie’s eyelashes quivered lightly, her breath unsteady, and she felt inexplicably tongue–tied.
She closed her eyes, able to sense his intense emotions, or perhaps something else entirely.

“Nathael…Maggie’s lips felt dry as she spoke softly, her voice involuntarily trembling, the tone carrying a hint of quiver, and the trailing pitch subtly rising.
Nathael seemed to have received some encouragement, and his tender kisses descended again, gentle and meticulous.
The night was cool as ice, yet the atmosphere in the room was scorching hot, overwhelming in its intensity.
It was as if he wanted to make up for the restraint of the past few days, or perhaps it was the collision with his heart during today’s veil fitting, or maybe it was the appearance of Joseph that stirred up enmity in him….
Eventually, as the sudden rain ceased and the bright moon illuminated the sky, Maggie found herself unable to resist any longer.
“Ugh… stop!”
“Nathael, you scoundrell”
The room was filled with the intermittent sobbing of a woman, choked and tender, melting even the hardest of hearts into tender affection.
Maggie didn’t know how she fell asleep, only feeling that abstinent men were truly terrifying. Nathael possessed her wildly, plundering as if wishing to meld her into his very being.
Time slipped away unnoticed as Maggie cried herself into a restless sleep, tears still shimmering on her face when she finally succumbed to slumber.
Nathael let out a sigh, beads of sweat forming on his forehead.
He carried Maggie to the bathroom, took a quick shower, and then had the servants come up to change the bedding.
After finishing up, he also took a cold shower himself.
When he emerged from the bathroom, he saw the woman sleeping uneasily in the soft, sapphire–blue bedding.
She furrowed her brow slightly, strands of soft hair scattered around like tendrils, her cute, upturned nose twitching slightly, and her lips parted ever so slightly.
Nathael walked over and tucked her in, leaning down to place a gentle kiss on her forehead. “Nana”

“Maggie, where are you? Something has happened to Joseph. Come back immediately!” Ronald spoke in a deep voice, clearly suppressing his anger.
Maggic
was extremely annoyed. Whether Joseph lived or died had nothing to do with her!
But she couldn’t say that out loud. Instead, she replied, “I have a meeting with a client with Mr. Harris this morning. I’ll try to come back at noon.”
“As long as you’re aware,” Ronald said before hanging up the phone without further words.
Maggie closed her eyes again, but her drowsiness had diminished slightly.
Did something happen to Joseph?
What could have happened?
Yesterday, wasn’t he full of life and excitement? How did things go wrong overnight?
