Chapter 113 

Lola’s dress was stained with red wine, and Ethan stood up, patting her shoulder. 

“When will you stop acting like a child? I’ll get you some tissues, just wait here.” 

Lola smiled and nodded. 

Jenna watched the interaction between the two, her hand resting on her lap clenched slightly. 

“Layla, have you and Ethan always been close?” 

Lola nodded, then hesitated slightly. “I guess our relationship has always been good. 

“I didn’t know what happened during the time I fainted, but after I woke up, Ethan has been so kind to me. 

“Ethan is very gentle, and he’s also a responsible brother.” 

Jenna smiled. “Do you know? Sometimes, I envy you, 

“Mom and Dad love you so much, and Ethan, who’s the only one left with them, spoils you. You’re like a flower grown in a greenhouse, cherished by them. 

“But I’m different. It seems like they’ve never really cared about me, as if I’ve been the extra one since I was born.” 

Lola was moved, filled with sympathy. 

Two girls who looked exactly the same lived such different lives.

Jenna took out a bracelet from her pocket. “You know? I always wear this bracelet. It was given to us by Mom and Dad when we were born. 

“This bracelet means a lot to me because it’s the only time I ever received that’s the same as yours. 

“In the days that followed, I hardly ever received the same gifts as you. We look exactly the same, but their love for you is so obvious” 

Jenna looked at the bracelet, sighing softly. “This is probably the only time we’ve been truly equal, right? 

“Probably, at this time, their love for both of us is the same. I wish time could stay forever at that moment. If there were no differences in the way they treated us, none of those things would have happened later.” 

Lola looked at the sadness in Jenna’s eyes, suddenly feeling sorry for her sister. 

Jenna, it won’t be like that anymore.” 

Jenna was about to say something. A gust of wind blew and she lost her grip. The bracelet fell from the railing! 

“My precious bracelet!” Jenna exclaimed urgently. 

Lola reacted faster, trying to catch it, but suddenly, someone from behind pushed her hard! 

They were already at the edge of the deck. She barely had time to steady herself before being hit by another force, and she couldn’t stand steadily, falling straight down! 

Lola struggled in the water, but there was no one around them at this place! 

Jenna watched Lola struggling desperately with a hint of cruelty. 

She suddenly wanted to change her original plan, just quietly watching her die. 

As long as Lola died, she would once again become the only one in the Lewis family with this face. 

She wondered what kind of role she would pretend to be then. 

Jenna’s gaze gradually darkened as she watched Lola struggle and gradually lose strength, falling into the sea. There was excitement on her face. 

The plan had changed. 

She could live as Lola again. 

Lola’s breath grew tighter as the air diminished, her vision blurring. Once despair took hold in her mind, it became. unstoppable.

But Lola had no energy to ponder. The pain in her chest consumed her with despair. 

Just then, someone embraced her, and lips pressed against hers, exchanging breath. 

She felt it felt oddly familiar! 

Yet Lola couldn’t open her eyes. She could only feel the person gently pull away, and then her body involuntarily rose. 

In the final moments, she felt she could breathe fresh air again and got out of the bone–chilling seawater, which just occasionally splashed around her. 

Lola’s consciousness faded. She tried hard to open her eyes to see who saved her, but no matter how hard she tried, she lacked the strength to open them. 

The scent was familiar as if she had smelled it somewhere before, but before she could ponder further, it vanished. 

Meanwhile, Jenna, originally gazing at the sky, pondered how to impersonate Lola without being discovered. 

When she looked down, she found Lola lying on the steps of the cruise ship! 

Jenna widened her eyes in disbelief, scanning around but finding no one! 

She felt it couldn’t be. It just couldn’t! 

She had watched Lola sinking into the seawater, losing consciousness and strength. It couldn’t possibly be Lola climbing up on her own! 

She thought if Lola didn’t climb up on her own, then who did? Did someone witness the whole thing? 

Jenna started to panic. She wondered who could it be. 

She felt that if it were a crew member or a relative of the Lewis family on the ship, upon seeing someone fall into the water, they would shout for help. How could they silently save her and then disappear?
