Lola had regained some of her sanity without anyone realizing when. Her calm and composed gaze fell upon Dominick 

Even though she didn’t speak, her eyes were no longer empty. In them, Dominick saw a reflection of himself. 

A knife, stained with blood, fell to the ground behind her, making a piercing noise. Lola instinctively looked towards the sound, but Dominick gently lifted her chin to meet his gaze. 

He offered a light, seemingly carefree smile. “Don’t be afraid. I’ll be by your side no matter what happens.” 

Lola felt a strange feeling, and it was also a familiar sensation. 

“Take Lola, and get out of here. It’s too complicated here, and she shouldn’t be further stressed.” 

Before Ethan could respond, Dominick handed Lola over to him, his tone unusually friendly. 

Ethan was slightly taken aback and surprised that Dominick was concerned about Lola’s well–being even in such a situation 

“Are you…okay?” 

As soon as he spoke, Ethan was taken aback by his own words. 

He had sworn to destroy Dominick and the Sinclair family, yet he found himself concerned for Dominick. 

He thought maybe it was because Dominick had been deceived too, or maybe because he was desperately trying to protect Lola 

Ethan’s gaze darkened, and without saying anything more, he left with Lola. 

Lola’s emotions were tangled. As she was about to leave the hall, she looked back at Dominick

Just one glance, and she hurriedly looked away 

“Nobody is leaving!” 

Suddenly, the hall’s doors were shut from the outside. Laura slowly walked up to the stage, holding something in her hand. 

She seemed to have lost her mind, staggering her face wearing a smile but her eyes filled with desperate madness.

“You all attended my son’s wedding. Now, I’ve invited you to his wife’s wedding with someone else. You all flatter and bless them, just like what you did before

In an instant, Dominick ran towards Lola, pulling her into his arms and shielding her beneath him, 

Even Ethan was caught off guard! 

Lola, stunned, met Dominick’s gaze. He smiled at her and his eyes still filled with tenderness for her even on the brink of death. 

At that moment, his only thought was that sacrificing his life for Lola to live was worth it. 

After seconds of silence, the anticipated explosion did not occur. 

Laura frantically pressed the button several times to no avail 

“What? What’s happening? 

*Explode: Come on. Explode! Kill these people! Hurry and kill them all 

Laura, seemingly insane, repeatedly pressed the remote. The hall remained silent, and she furiously threw the remote on the ground, stomping on it. 

“Just explode!” 

“It won’t explode. 

A woman’s voice came from outside, followed by the opening of the 10–foot–tall doors. 

A female figure stood in the doorway, her face unclear, but she was wearing a long dress and a veil 

Sunlight streamed in, and the terrified people finally snapped to their senses, scrambling to escape the scene. 

Soon, the hall was left with only a handful of people.

It took her a full minute to convince herself she wasn’t dreaming. She stepped back half a step in disbelief, her gaze frantic and unfocused.
