Vicky balled her hands into fists. She was at the end of her patience.

She looked directly into Tyler's eyes and said emphatically, "Tyler Hart, you have no right to say what I can and cannot do in my life."

"A toy doesn't have a life," he said coldly. "And you better break up with your boyfriend before I ruin his life. I won't stop until I get what I want."

Vicky looked at him in a trance. He was so familiar yet so strange to him. Her mind descended into chaos. It was as if time turned back four years ago, but he would never look so coldly at her then.

"Why?" she asked quietly as she stared at his face.

"What?"

"Why me?"

Tyler smiled evilly. "Because Avery doesn't like you."

Vicky's pupils shrank.

Tyler looked at her wavering gaze with his own inky-blue eyes. "It's quite fun being with someone she doesn't like."

Even though Avery acted all friendly toward Vicky during the dinner, anyone with eyes to see could tell she did not like her, especially when something like that happened in the castle.

It would be more accurate to say Avery hated Vicky.
