LUNA
It’s already been a month and Dylan is still courting me to get me back. And I also repeatedly reject him.
"Ma'am Luna, the stage and the catwalk are okay." The staff that I assigned to fix my upcoming fashion show tomorrow.
It's late and we're running out of time. Everything is okay and there is very little to fix so I left them to my employee.
I nodded. "Good. Take care of our models."
He turned away from me and clapped to get the models ’attention. I sat to one side when I felt dizzy. I closed my eyes for a moment to rest my body.
There were hands on my shoulders so I opened my eyes. I looked up at it and saw the concern on Dylan's face.
"You're tired. It's bad for you to be tired." He said.
I smirked at him. "I can't. My fashion show is tomorrow."
When I looked around I noticed almost all of my models were already stumbling in the middle of the catwalk as it shifted its gaze to my husband. When I caught a woman staring, I immediately glared at her.
"Linda, why are your models tripping? Are they professionals?"
Linda scratched her head. "I'm sorry, Mrs Reyes."
She left and went to the models to talk.
"I like the sound of that." I could hardly breathe when I saw him kneeling in front of me and its warm blessing wrapped around my hand.
"W-What?"
"When people around us are calling you 'Misis'. I like the sound of that. At least they know who you belong to." He smiled.
I pressed my lips together firmly. I quickly stood up to get away from him but my senses immediately hurt. I close my eyes and my hand flew to my forehead. There were arms wrapped around my waist and pulled me to sit on his lap.
"You're harming yourself." He whispered hotly.
"Leave me alone. Ugh!" My head fell on his shoulder because of the feeling dizzy. "My head's spinning."
"Sleep then. I'll carry you." I felt him caress my hair. "You're too tired."
Shit. This ain't right. But it feels somehow soothing. My baby likes it.
"Did you change the scent?" I said sleepily. I squeezed the head even tighter between its neck.
He chuckled. Oh. That's sexy. "Yeah. I don't want you to get mad at me."
I pressed my head even harder against his neck. The arms wrapped around my waist and wrapped around my side. "I hate you for having this effect on me. I hate you so much."
"I'm crazy for you, Baby."
I should be angry at him. I should be yelling at him now. I should have fired him. But my system doesn’t want to get along, it likes my body sticking to Dylan.
The last thing I remembered was his lips, touching my aching temple.
I woke up almost dazzled by the sunlight. I lay down and noticed the familiar room I was in. Dylan's bedroom— No. Our bedroom. Our used to be the bedroom.
I was slapped on the cheek when I realized that I had fallen asleep in his arms. I need to go home, Camille was worried.
"Shit," I whispered when I saw only a thin and long tee-shirt I was wearing under the blanket.
I immediately got up and dressed more sensibly before looking for my outrageous husband. My feet carried me to the kitchen because of the dish I smelled.
"Umiiyak ang puso ko't sumisigaw. Pati ang isip ko't damdamin ay humihiyaw. Buhay kong ito'y walang halaga, kung ang pagmamahal mo ay mawawala pa. Umiiyak ang puso ko't sumisigaw. Pati ang isip ko't damdamin ay humihiyaw. " (It’s a Filipino song)
I put my hand over my mouth as I observed his appearance. He's wearing a black tight boxer and white shirt. He held the spoon and swayed while listening to the sound from the radio.
My eyes dropped to the sculpted back of it. I was bitten on my lip, why do I feel like I want to hug him so much. "Pagmamahal mo lang ang tanging pag-asa. 'Di ko kayang mabuhay kung lalayo ka. 'Di ko na kaya na humanap pa ng iba. Pagka't ikaw lang ang tanging sinasamba. Alam mo bang kapag kapiling ka. Bawa't sandali ay walang kasing ligaya. "
"Hey."
He stopped at what he was doing and faced me. "Oh, you're awake. Did my beautiful voice bother you?"
I smirked, trying so hard to insult him. "You have a rare talent, Dylan. The talent to make your listener's ears bleed."
"How mean." He chuckled. He’s shaking his head while continuing to do what he was doing. "But the song's good, I can't help but sang."
I folded my arms and leaned against the door jamb. "Whatever. I'm going home. Where are my clothes?"
He turned off the stove and placed the fried rice on the plate before facing me. "Where else are you going, eh, you're already here at our house?"
