||Mishal's POV||
"Ma'am, we reached your destination!" Driver told me as he opened my door.
"Where are we?" I asked him as I climbed out of the car and looked at the building which was screaming danger and had guards all around it.
"One of sir's warehouse!" He answered and closed the door.
"I think we should go back to home!" I whispered and turned to the car.
"I'm sorry, ma'am. If you don't go inside then I have to call amma bi. Believe me, that old lady becomes very dangerous when your name enters the hate list of hers," He said and motioned me to follow him while I stared at him and blinked several times.
"Amma bi ordered me if you want to go back home, you can but I will not escort you back. You have to go alone. Just remember we are far away from the house," He told me.
"And she said if I have to threaten you with my gun to go inside then I can but I don't want Zayaan sir to kill me mercilessly," He added showing me his gun.
I gasped at him and looked around the area. I didn't know where this warehouse was located because it was surrounded by many trees. I pulled my shawl around tightly and held its corner in my fists.
Reluctantly, I followed him inside and let him led the way. Everyone inside the building stared at me then nodded their heads in respect.
It was all uncomfortable for me and I quickly looked down, ignoring the attention I was receiving. Upon reaching a door, he opened it and I stepped inside the room and let my eyes room around.
It was an office with a few pictures of Zayaan, his brother, his father and grandfather hanging on the wall, the walls were blackish grey, there was black desk in front of a large window with a grey chair behind it and two grey and back sofa type chairs in front of it.
There were also many bookshelves on the two sides of the walls, obviously it had black colour. The man was seriously obsessed with black and grey colour.
"Have a seat, ma'am! Sir will be here soon!" He said, motioning me to sit on the couch which was in the corner against the wall.
I sat on the couch and looked at the picture which was on a desk but the back of the frame was facing me. The driver whose name I didn't know went out of the room, leaving me alone.
I stood up and went to the desk to look at the picture as curiosity got the best of me. I looked at the picture and gasped in shock and surprise. It was my picture and it was taken before I met him. I was sitting on the bench outside the school where I used to work as a teacher.
My brain went blank as I stared at the picture. I picked the picture and blinked to come back to reality. If he had this picture of mine before he entered my life then it meant maybe he knew...
"I never knew my boss would finally fall in love with someone," —I startled by the voice and looked up from the picture and saw a man at the door holding a tray with a glass— "I know I am not the right one to tell you this but he really loves you. He may not know how to express it but give him time to show you. He really needs someone like you," He said, handed me the glass as I put the picture back on the table and sat back on the couch.
"How can you say when you don't know me?" I asked him because I doubt the last line.
"Believe me, I know you before you met sir," He answered, which confused me.
"How--,"
I was cut off when the door opened Zayaan stepped inside and narrowed his eyes at the man before me. The man whose name I didn't know nodded at Zayaan and went out of the room.
Zayaan looked at me with a sigh and ran his hand in his hair. I looked at his other hand which had blood and knuckles were bruised.
"It's nothing!" He said when he noticed my eyes on his knuckles.
"But--,"
"Shh.. I said it's nothing," He said, coming in front of me then put his finger on my lips.
"Give me a minute. I'll be back!" He whispered, softly and kissed on my forehead before going to the side of the room where another door was.
I was in shock and dazed as I touched my forehead where he kissed me. Minutes later, he came back with his hand wrapped not-so-properly in handkerchief. I looked at his hand and walked to him to tie it properly. I opened it and wrapped it again properly.
After I wrapped his hand, he intertwined my hand with his uninjured hand and pulled me with him, gently. He took me out of his warehouse to his car and opened the door for me.
I got in the copilot and he also got in the driver seat and started the car. We both sat in silence, no one of us spoke. I rolled down the window and put my head against it's frame.
The cold and chill wind kissed my face and made my hairs flew a little from my shoulders. I closed my eyes and let the darkness take me.
I was shaken awake. I opened my eyes and looked around and saw Zayaan was in front of me with my side door open. He extended his hand for me and I put it silently. He helped me out of the car and closed the door behind me.
I looked up and saw a restaurant in front of us. Zayaan took me inside and the hostess quickly took us to our table without asking our reservation.
