Mia's p.o.v
"Where the hell is she!"
Margret's voice woke me up instantly. I sat upright and looked around, it was already morning and the sun was showing between my carelessly closed curtains.
"Shit," I whispered under my breath then quickly stood up and brushed my hair backwards with my fingers.
The door burst open and Margret walked in furiously.
"Help me Goddess with what I will do to you young lady, what the hell are you still doing in your room, do you think this place is your little playhouse!" She yelled on top of her voice.
"No ma'am," I answered quickly.
"Then why are you still here when your friends are nearly done with the pack chores?" She asked.
"I wasn't that well and..."
"And what! Just because you had a little fever it didn't mean you were going to die, are you dead?" She asked mockingly.
"No Ma'am," I answered under my breath.
"I knew it, just because beta Chris lifted you up, now you think you are special in any way isn't it?" She asked angrily.
"No, I'm sorry ma'am," I answered softly.
"It's fine Child, you won't be eating anything the whole day again, hope your sorry will help you learn something." She said then turned and walked out.
I cursed in a whisper then quickly walked out with a frown. I was mad at Meg for not waking me up, she was always the first one to wake me up but then again this was the first time that she had let me oversleep.
"No food again," I muttered to myself while walking outside.
My stomach was growling in its own selfish way. I was hungry and thirsty because of usually being left out to starve, and punished.
"Here goes nothing," I whispered to myself when I reached the pack house.
I was still scared over what had happened with the twins and our warrior. Deep down I knew I had to act tough despite the fear I felt every time I glanced at them.
I slowly walked in and heard a few whispers coming from the dining hall.
"Is the silly girl still not yet here?" Margret asked from the dining hall.
I quickly went there and found Meg and a few of the ladies serving the table. Margret looked at me with a glare and pointed at the mop that was on the ground.
"Since you woke up late you will be moping the floor alone while the warriors eat." She said as the ladies giggled.
"Yes ma'am," I answered softly when inside I was yelling at her.
I hated cleaning when the warriors were eating, their eyes were mostly on my ass and they made sure to deliberately throw pieces of food on the floor so that I could take more hours to finish up, I had no idea why they mostly did that to virgin omegas, those that already had their heat and sex were treated differently.
"Is the table set?" Christopher's voice came from the stairs.
"Yes sir," Margret answered while we all lowered our eyes to the ground.
"Good, you can all leave." He ordered.
We all bowed to show our respect. I looked at Meg and noticed that she was being pulled by a few ladies, I was about to follow them when Margret gave me a death glare.
I stood still and went back to were the mop was, the woman was very brutal with those omegas that were disobedient, I was already a bad seed in her eyes. I didn't want to make it worse as it was.
I got on my knees and began mopping the floor.
"Why didn't you go with the rest of the girls?" Christopher asked behind me.
I stopped what I was doing and turned to face him. When I did I held in my breath, he had a red, bruised cheek and a few claw marks on his face that seemed like they were healing.
Without thinking I stood up and moved to touch his face, he quickly extended his hand to stop me from moving any further.
"Please stop, don't come any closer." He whispered then looked upstairs nervously.
