Ashley finished eating and went to the bed. She sat there staring at David who was busy with his phone but he never glanced at her or even spoken to her after she shouted at him.

It's seems he wasn't used to people shouting at him or he's just so sensitive to people shouting at him.

Time after time past without both of them realizing it.

Sooner than later, a knock came from outside their room and David knew it was Xander for the later had texted him that he was on his way to their room.

David opened the door and Xander came in.

"Hey buddy, Sup? " he greeted David after he entered.

"I'm okay, is everything ready at the penthouse? " David enquired him.

"Sure, all set and ready to go. " Xander said with a smile. He shifted his gaze to the bed where Ashley was seated.

"Hello Kit---"

"It's Ashley, call her Ashley from now onwards. No more Kitten or whatsoever." David cut Xander off.

"Uhm sure buddy. " Xander said and without anyone telling him, he could see the tension in the room.

What just happened between them? I wonder what did this girl did to pissed this man off. Xander asked himself while looking fort and back between the two.

"Uhm hey Ashley, how are you and how was your night?" Xander asked in a playful tone hoping it will break the tension.

"I'm good. Thank you. " Ashley answered curtly whiles her eyes never left David who was still engrossed in his phone.

" If everything is okay now, I think we should leave. I want to have a good bath at home. Xander, please bring her bag downstairs. " David said before he walked out of the room without given Ashley a glance.

Xander kept looking at the back of his friend and then back to Ashley who looked like she was about to cry any moment.

"Let's get going Ash." Xander said with a smile which Ashley return it but it's didn't reached her eyes.

They left the hotel room to the car where David was already seated. Still he didn't look at Ashley.

The car started and drove to the main street that leads to the penthouse.

Ashley kept herself busy at staring through the window. Because she didn't want to look at David and get ignored again. Yes it's her fault for yelling at him, but she's also pregnant and the hormones aren't helping her at all.

In fact she didn't hate him for calling her Kitten all the time. She actually liked it. But she was just angry when he refused to eat simply because he didn't want her to see his face. That's what made her snapped at him.

Soon the car pulled over in front of a luxurious penthouse. Ashley was in awe looking at the house in front of her. the house was located in seclusion area in the city. She could see other penthouses around the area but the house in front of her topped it all.
