After what seemed like forever,the competition came to an end and I couldn't be happier as my legs were telling on me.

So far,our stance on the point board was impressive and I think the winner was between our school and Westwood high who unfortunately were the winner in the previous year.

"Who do you think is going to win this year?" Lilian asked as we waited for the judges to announce the results.

"I'm not sure either,but my fingers are crossed" I answered.

Everyone had a tensed look on their faces and the judges were not making it easy as they took their sweet time in calculating the scores not minding the fact that they were putting innocent children under torture.

"And now for the moment you have been waiting for,let's welcome one of the judges Mr Markus as he announces the results." Our game master said,making everyone clap and hoot loudly.

"It was a tough decision but it had to be made.But know that even if your school did not win,you are all still winners." He started with the usual motivational speech our teachers use whenever we have a quiz.

"I'm going to start from the third position,so if you hear the name of your school let the representatives make their way up here." he continued taking a look at the paper he was holding as though he didn't already know what was written there.

"Yes sir" we chorused

"The third position goes to Emerald high school." He said and there were shouts of joy from their students who were around and claps from the audience as they made their way up.

"The second position is....." he then paused again,there was no simple explanation just that the man was trying to kill us.I think the whole school could hear my heartbeat because of how loud it was at the moment.

"It was a close call,and they missed only by a few points....." he trailed off.

"Just say it already." I yelled and I think he heard me as he smiled in my direction ...."oh my God!" I exclaimed as I tried to hide behind Lilian who was laughing at me.

"Impatient are we....the second position goes to... Westwood High school." He announced and I screamed...wait,was I supposed to be happy?what if our school did not come first?

I could see Matt and one other boy going up to receive their award.Coming back to my senses,I clapped for them as loud as I could.

"The first position of this year's inter school competition goes to...." The man surely knows how to put someone under suspense.

"Lord,let it be our school please." I prayed silently.

"Crown high school.... that's our school,why are people not clapping? didn't they hear him?" I thought,looking around.

"Maybe you did not hear,I said..." the man started,but was cut short by the screams of students all over.

"They heard,I think they were in shock." I said before joining.

After all the excitement was over,we all went to our usual table not minding the fact that we were all sweaty and all.Daniel was excited because as the games prefect,he was awarded specially.

"This is the best game ever,I'm still surprised we won." Daniel said.

"Yea babe,and it's all thanks to your amazing talent." Tessa cooed sweetly at him while smiling at him.

"I think everyone who participated put in their best Tessa." He looked over to me but I pretended to look away but I think he saw me.

"Oh baby,ask anyone they'll tell you." she said, ignoring the rest of us.

"Well,I think Vee and Anna did great." Matt said, earning a glare from Daniel, especially when he put his hand on my shoulders.

Matt and Daniel don't really get along, probably because they were both handsome but whatever the reason was,it didn't stop Matt from sitting with us.Taking my plate,I made my way towards Jason and Anna but before I could sit,Jason put his bag on the seat then gave me a sly look as he nodded towards Daniel. But because of how Tessa was looking,I quietly made my way to where Matt was and Matt, being him, made space for me while looking Daniel straight in the eyes.

"Thanks." I mumbled

"Let's shake tables." Ella whispered in my ears but I did not understand until I saw Tessa looking at me.

"You want me to make her jealous? It won't work,she has nothing to be jealous of." I whispered back.

"Just do it." she commanded before smiling at me.

"Lord....I pray for boldness from above to do this and know that this is not my will but I'll appreciate it if she gets jealous." I prayed silently but because Ella could hear what I was saying,she rolled her eyes at me.

"Do you know what my favorite time of the game was?" I asked no one in particular.

"No." All of them except Tessa answered.

"The time Daniel removed his shirt when he scored that goal...what a sight." I swear Daniel choked on his food as Jason handed him his water and the rest of them looked at me in shock.... I might have to sanitize my mouth after today.

"Vee I did not know you talk dirty too." Gideon said.

"Are you okay Dee?" I asked using the nickname I gave him.

"Of course he is." Tessa snapped at me.

I could see Anna giving me a thumbs up as she nodded encouraging me.

"But you guys were there now...I mean you saw what I saw right?" I asked and there was a hint of a smile on his face.

"Some of us are trying to eat here." Tessa said, kinda annoyed but nobody paid attention as they nodded.

"Yes Tessa, I'll keep quiet now." I said, calling her 'Tessa' on purpose.

"It is senior to you." She said and Daniel rolled his eyes at that.

I was out of what to do to make her jealous....I should really take lessons from Anna or Ella.So I just kept quiet and continued eating but Anna was not having any of it since she was still angry with everything Tessa said to me.

"Why don't we all get together tonight,to celebrate our victory.Matt and Ella you're also invited since you'd still be around." Anna said and everyone nodded in agreement.

When we got back to the room,Anna and Ella who had quickly become partners in crime went through my bag to find the perfect outfit...I mean it was just a get together but they wouldn't listen.

"This time,make sure you stick to Daniel and make that bitch jealous,'' Ella said as she concluded on what she wanted me to wear.

"Left to me, I'd like to disfigure her face for every single thing she said to her." Anna whose mind was still set on violence said.

"Thanks guys,I really appreciate you doing this for me." I said.

"Of course, anything for my best friend." Anna said as she pulled me in for a hug.

"Don't leave me out." Ella whined as she joined the hug which made me smile.

We were ready to go by 6,since it'll just be for two hours or so and the guys didn't want us to stay out late....can you imagine? The girls made me wear a crop top after much persuasion that I had every girl's dream body and there was nothing to be ashamed of.

"Let's go,I can't wait to see the look on Tessa's face when Daniel kisses you." Anna said excitedly.

"Wait, what kiss?When did we talk about kisses?" I am confused now.

"Did you hear Kiss?....I meant miss you." She lied.

"Why would he miss me?"

"Oh, it's time, let's not keep the guys waiting." Ella said as she opened the door

"Something fishy is going down that I don't have an idea about."
