"Anthony!" Ash screamed.
She made motion to go near him, but he held up his hand for her to stay where she was.
"John I didn't mean to hurt her," he said staring at Ashling and then looked to me, "She came on to me not the other way around. I would never hurt her like that on purpose," he said to me.
I believed him; he would never have hurt Ash like that. I would feel the same if I ever did that to Morgan but just seeing Ash cry made me pissed that it even happened to her. She is my baby sister I got to watch out for her.
I let out a sigh, "Anthony I swear if you ever hurt her again I will hurt you and you won't be worrying about just a bloody nose," I said with a straight face.
I turned to Ash gave her a hug and a kiss before I left. I could hear her run over to Anthony to see if he was okay and closed the door behind me. I walked back to the kitchen to get Morgan some water and headed back up to the room. I opened my door to find Morgan wearing one of my shirts looking out the window. I placed the glass on the coffee table and walk over to her. The moon was setting and the sky was a mix of purple and pink. The sun was peeking up over the earth and was ready to start the day.
I wrapped my arms around her waist and she melted into me. She fit just right in my arms and I felt complete with her. She let her head fall back in my chest and closed her eyes.
"Sleepy, are we?" I asked.
She groaned and shook her head. I chuckled and kissed her mark. Her eye shot open and moaned. A smile formed on my lips and rested my chin on her head.
Morgan's P.O.V
We just sat there looking out at the sunrise. John's arms wrapped around me making me complete. I thought about my mom; she would be proud of me. She would be happy for me that I found my mate. She always told me that I was a gift to them and one day I would be a gift to someone else. You see my parents had trouble getting pregnant so when I was born I was everything to them, especially my mom. She hated that she couldn't give my dad more children but he told her, "I have you, my other half and I have our other half, our child. I don't need anything else only you two. I wouldn't have it any other way."
My parents were in love all throughout their marriage. My father adored my mother. Their first Christmas together they decided not to get each other gifts but their gift to each other would be to spend time with each other. Instead my father gave her a diamond engraved necklace with half of a heart. He had the other half on his bog tag necklace that belonged to my grandfather who died in the navy. If you put them together it said, 'My missing piece'. My mother wore it every day after that and when I was born my father got one for me and my mom. They were matching charm bracelets with each having half of a butterfly. If you put it together it said, 'My girls, My life'. I haven't worn that bracelet since my mom died. Now, my father has both pieces to the necklace and my mother's piece to the bracelet.
"What are you thinking about?" John asked bringing me back to reality.
"Nothing just my mom," I said.
"She would be happy for us," he said looking down at me.
I got up and put on a pair of John's sweat pants and followed him out of the room. We made our way down the main hallway and to the front entrance of the house. I grabbed his hand and he intertwined our fingers when we walked outside into the front yard. I started to make my way to the woods when John stopped next to me.
He turned to me and said, "You stay here. I'll go check it out"
"No, I am going with you," I told him
He sighed, "I am not coming that close to losing you, again,"
I put my hand on his cheek and looked him in the eye, "We are mates. We are doing this together,"
He kissed my hand, "Your staying here," he said walking toward the woods.
I ran after him and grabbed his hand. He just shook his head and intertwined our fingers. He walked in front of me looking for any sign of danger. The bushes behind me shook and I could have sworn I heard a giggle. It smelled of honey and lavender.
