Of the Patrick Rob stories I have ever read, perhaps the most impressive one is My mate, My exception. The story is too good, leaving me with many doubts. Currently, the manga has been translated to Chapter 38. Let's read the author's My mate, My exception Patrick Rob story right here.
He had pulled into my driveway and I stepped out of the car before he spoke and stomped up to the doorway with the cake in my hands. Our front door was opened so I headed there instead of through the garage.
Before I made it Jake caught up to me with his inhuman speed and yanked me behind him. I rolled my eyes and attempted to get past him with no avail.
"What now, Jake?"
"There's a werewolf here and I don't recognize the scent."
I froze this time with fear. "Is it inside? Is it gonna hurt my family?" I tried walking past Jake. "We have to get them before it does."
"No!" Jake snarled, pulling my right up against his chest. "Just give me one second."
"Jake let me just-" I tried reasoning.
"Shhhh!!!" He hushed.
I fell silent and so did he. I heard the faint sound of the neighborhood kids playing and I could faintly hear the oven timer going off as well as the light buzz of talking. That was pretty much it for me, so I hoped Jake heard something I didn't.
"I can only hear your family." He says after a minute.
"As opposed to what?" I wonder aloud.
"I don't hear any movement of someone sneaking around or hiding in your attic. The werewolf must be by your family." I gasp, realizing how dramatic I sounded.
"You don't think it's one of my brothers do you?"
"No, it couldn't be. I've met all of them before and I would have realized it then."
"Well there's no one else inside except my family and-" I gasped againas I made a sudden realization. "Jace's girlfriend Anna is in there!"
Jake tensed again and nodded his head. "Yeah I think it's her."
"What if they're mates?" I squeal, grabbing onto Jake's arm and jumping up and down. "I mean Jace was talking about how much he was already whipped!" I was already hoping my theory was right. The thought that Jace could be with someone he loves as much as I love Jake made me so happy for him.
"Probably not." Jake says flatly.
"Well why else would she be here with my brother?" I ask pointedly.
