From the light in the window casting shadows around the room, I assumed it was well past eight. I smoothly slid out of Jake's grasp, and tip toed to the door.

I made my way down stairs, heading towards the kitchen. I heard people in the dining room, a lot of them. So I headed towards the kitchen, to be alone.

I poured myself a glass of orange juice and sat on the counter top, ignoring the neatly lined up chairs. Screw it. I thought.

I heard someone approaching the kitchen and I didn't even try to rearrange myself. I just stayed where I was when Tyler entered the room.

"Good Morning Jen." He says to me chirpily, making my anger flare. I didn't retort or open my mouth to say anything for this matter. I wasn't necessarily mad at him, more what position he was. Still I knew that once I opened my mouth I'd go off.

He sensed my vibes and left the kitchen after refilling his coffee cup without another word. Smart Bastard.

I got up and opened the fridge, looking for food that would motivate me to make something. I spotted a container of strawberries, as well as the new carton of heavy whipping cream. I smiled to myself as I reached for the ingredients to prepare my dessert-like breakfast.

Twenty minutes later I was sitting back on the Island eating my crêpes. I didn't care that the two, whipped cream and jelly filled pastry's would probably cause me to gain five pounds today. I only cared about how the tangy strawberry sauce tasted on my tongue with the creamy whipped cream I'd made. I didn't know how much longer I would get, and I was gonna make every moment count, even with these caloric crêpes.

Jake found me twenty minutes later, just finishing up the last one I had prepared for myself. His timing was perfect, for now I had something to do with my hands. I jumped down and went over to where I left the very thin pancakes, beginning to roll one for him. He met me there and hugged me from behind.

"Let's do something today?" He whispers in my ear.

"Sure." I reply quietly, focusing on dolloping his whipped cream on.

"I'll be right back." He trails off, Leaving my side suddenly.

I'm confused why he's left so abruptly, but continue making his breakfast, setting it on the table when I'm done.

I turned with his cup of coffee and he was there again, right in front of me.

I jumped, sloshing some of the coffee on the floor.

"Oops!" Jake stands up immediately and starts wiping it up. "You don't have to do that." I tell him, bending over an helping him.

"You're fine Jen, just sit down, I'm not gonna let my mate do something if she's getting cramps and...... well just sit down." I felt guilty telling him I had cramps when I really didn't. Come to think of it, I don't even remember when my period really was due, sometime soon, I guessed.
