Night Rider MC novel Chapter 5

I waited an hour for Star to come home. I walked out on Panthers arm and married, Gunner. After the wedding Gunner looked at me with sad eyes.

"I am sorry Brandy."

"I wanted Star here for you more than anything."

"It is all of our fault we never checked on her."

"We just seemed to forget about her."

"We should never have done that to her."

"We will make it up to her, I promise."

"I don't know Gunner."

"Star can be very stubborn, she is a fighter."

I looked over at the boys. I watched as they kept looking at the door. No one has seen or heard from Star.

"Grace you seem to know everything."

"Have you seen Star?"

"No, I have not."

The wedding reception was not loud. All the members knew that Star was not here. We also all knew that not one of us ever made the attempt to get to know her.

After the wedding mom and Gunner were going away for a week to a cabin. We all watched them get on Gunner's bike. We looked across the street and saw the house was dark and Star's car was gone.

We went back in the clubhouse and sat down.

Turk said. "I am going to see if Star is home yet."

I walked out the door and looked across the street. It is 4:00 in the morning. Where could she be? It has been a week and no one has seen her car or her.

Mom and Gunner just got back today. We all carried

Gunners things over and put them in mom's bedroom. Mom looked up and said, "going to check Stars room."

We heard mom yell.

"What's wrong mom?" We asked running down the hall. Stars room was empty. There was nothing in it. It was as if she did not exist.

Gunner held my close to his chest as she cried. We walked down the stairs to the kitchen. We noticed our gifts still sitting on the table.

"She never opened them."

"It was a few days after her graduation."

Then fist saw something setting on top of one of the boxes. It is Stars house key.

"Mom, Star left her house keys." Fist said.

It was as if she is forgetting us as much as we forgot about her.
