Cedric's gaze was dark and cold, exuding an air of arrogance.

Provoked by Cedric's attitude, Norman retorted angrily, "Why should I apologize? You should thank me for warning you not to let these women fool you. They're all gold-digging liars."

Cedric's eyes narrowed slightly. Just as he was about to give Norman a piece of his mind, someone grabbed his hand with both hands.

"Sounds like someone has been fooled by women before." Noelle stepped forward, staring directly at Norman. "If you hate women this much, why don't you crawl back into your mother's womb and spare us all the embarrassment?"

Though Norman harbored such disdain for women, he should remember it was a woman who endured hardship to bring him into the world.

Norman's expression darkened instantly. "What did you just say?"

"You said it yourself, didn't you?" Noelle replied, unfazed. "If all women are liars, then your mother must be one too. I suppose she lied to your father and gave birth to a disgusting jerk like you."

When faced with false accusations, it was important to know how to defend oneself.

Noelle's words struck a nerve, and Norman's anger boiled over.

As he took a step forward, Jim quickly intervened, shoving him back. "That's enough, Norman. Do you want to get yourself arrested, too? There's surveillance here."

Norman glared daggers at Noelle before storming off in a fury.

Turning to Cedric and Noelle, Jim spoke apologetically, "I didn't realize he was like that. I should've addressed Mark Baker's behavior sooner."

Jim had never anticipated the situation would escalate this far.

Cedric remained silent, his expression grim.

Noelle quickly chimed in, "I understand. Sometimes, things spiral out of control, so it's not entirely your fault."

"Thank you for understanding, Ms. Liddell," Jim replied gratefully.

"That's it?" Cedric asked abruptly.

Jim was taken aback, wondering what his behind-the-scenes boss might mean. He glanced at Zachary, puzzled.

Zachary cleared his throat and suggested, "Since Ms. Liddell had such an unpleasant experience at our gym, we should compensate her—perhaps by waiving her annual membership fee and hourly charges."

"Oh, of course! My apologies for overlooking that." Jim replied with an awkward smile.

"No thanks," Noelle said, shaking her head. "I shouldn't have hit him in the first place. If I'd just let it slide, none of this would've happened."

But deep down, she knew she couldn't have ignored it. The thought of other women potentially being victimized by someone like Mark had ignited her resolve to teach him the lesson he deserved.

"There's no need to hold back," Cedric chimed in. "You did the right thing. Never let anyone take advantage of you!"
