Noelle knew that Cedric was here. She could see him in the mirror in the elevator. However, her face was growing progressively redder. She understood why people described how time stretched infinitely.

When the elevator finally stopped at the ground floor, Noelle escaped with her tail between her legs. Cedric dragged her back and cornered her.

Gazing down at her, he asked, "Why are you trying to run away?"

Noelle was terrified. She turned away and said softly, "Let go of me first."

"Answer my question first."

"I'm not running away. I've always needed to get off on this floor. I hadn't driven here."

Cedric replied lowly, "But I drove."

"What does that have to do with me?"

"I can fetch you there."

Noelle looked up at him. Her head was spinning. She had no idea how to reply. At that moment, the door opened. She heard voices outside. Noelle was extremely nervous and pushed at him. Others would see.

Cedric remained unmoving. He said calmly, "I'll fetch you there."

He was not giving her the opportunity to negotiate. The elevator doors opened. The voices outside had ceased. Noelle was in a tizzy. "Fine, get off me first."

He backed away slowly and glanced at the people outside, a warning glint in his eye.

However, the people outside turned to Noelle and enquired, "Do you need help?"

Noelle shook her head and said, "It's fine, thanks."

She ran out of the elevator, her face flushed. Cedric stood behind him and said, "Never seen someone appease his girlfriend?" He strode past them, leaving the bystanders confused. They had never seen people sweet-talk their girlfriend like a gangster.

Noelle rushed forward with her face flushed. How embarrassing. What was Cedric on?
