Noelle coughed somewhat awkwardly. "A doctor isn't necessary."
"Ms. Liddell, please. This isn't the time to joke around."
"I'm not joking. I knocked him out. He took my phone and wouldn't let me leave," Noelle confessed somewhat unnaturally.
James sighed in relief. "He wasn't trying to stop you. He just wanted you to stay a little longer."
"But they'd never asked if I wanted that. They'd never asked if I was willing to stay with them."
James gave a bitter smile. "I understand, but Mr. Frank wouldn't listen no matter how much I tried to reason with him. There's no point in regretting it now."
Noelle grew irritated knowing she couldn't leave.
Frank regained consciousness not long after. His eyes lit up with delight after seeing Noelle sit on the couch. "You're still here, Noelle."
Noelle coldly replied, "I'm going home to get some rest."
"Sure. Have something to eat before you leave. I'll have James send you home afterward."
"I lose my appetite when you're around. I just want to leave now." Noelle snapped. Her patience was running thin.
Frank looked hurt. He knew Noelle had knocked him out earlier.
James quickly stepped in. "Mr. Blake's men are guarding the door. Let Ms. Liddell go. Forcing her to stay will do more harm than good."
Trying to force kindness onto someone would just backfire.
Frank finally nodded. "Alright. Let me send you home."
"No need."
"You can't leave if I don't send you home myself. You know how Blake is."
Noelle had no choice but to reluctantly agree. The situation left her feeling deeply irritated.
