Frank deeply regretted taking Xenia into the Liddell family. He felt that he should have never agreed to let Donovan take Xenia in and raise her.

Xenia hid behind Donovan and spoke pitifully. "I know that Frank doesn't like me, Donovan. I should just leave now instead of staying around and angering him further."

Seeing that the police had arrived, she felt a little guilty and wanted to slip away.

The officers just looked at her and said, "You can't leave yet, Ms. Xenia. You mentioned that you were injured and needed a medical check-up earlier, didn't you? And besides, you haven't even given us your statement yet."

Xenia's expression darkened. "I've already said everything I needed to say. I don't know anything else."

"The victim, Noelle, said that you were the one that deliberately provoked Blake and caused him to start the fight," the police replied.

"I never did that! Noelle has always had an issue with me, so she thinks that I'm involved! I don't blame her for thinking so, but still, she can't just accuse someone without any evidence," Xenia explained.

She then turned to Donovan and started crying. "You have to believe me, Donovan."

Donovan nodded and replied, "Of course, I believe you. There's no need to be afraid, Xenia, since you didn't do anything wrong. Just cooperate with the investigation."

Xenia's expression froze up for a moment. She did not want to cooperate with the investigation precisely because she was worried that she might be exposed.

Donovan then asked the police. "Did Noelle mention anything about evidence?"

The police officers replied, "Yes, Noelle had mentioned a recording of a conversation on Xenia's phone. That is why we need to check it."

Xenia panicked and took a few steps back. "I don't have that!"

The police turned to her and said, "Please hand over your phone so we can see for ourselves."
