Xenia paled and didn't know how to respond. She trembled. "I didn't say anything! Stop accusing me!"

What should she do? She was doomed if Blake found out the truth.

Seeing Xenia's guilty expression, Noelle pieced together what had happened. She looked at Blake. "I remember when those thugs outside targeted you for revenge. You almost died in that alley."

Blake's eyes lit up with rage. "So you finally remember? Don't you feel guilty at all?"

Noelle sighed. "Why should I feel guilty? I ran out of the alley to get help for you. That's when I ran into Xenia, but the gang found us. They threatened us to reveal your location."

Blake's expression darkened. "Noelle, you were the one who told them where I was, right?"

"No," Noelle replied coldly. "The one who told them was Xenia, not me. If I hadn't stopped her and led them in the opposite direction, you'd be dead by now."

It all came back to Noelle now. After that incident, Blake's attitude toward her worsened while his relationship with Xenia grew. He even defended her constantly.

Noelle never understood why and thought Xenia had simply stolen another one of her brothers. But this explained it.

Blake turned to Xenia sharply. "Is that true?"

"Blake, that's not what happened! Noelle was scared and wanted to tell them where you were, but I stopped her!

"Then, I secretly ran into the alley and found you. I was the one who took you to the hospital!" Xenia's face was pale. She could never admit the truth.

After all, so many years had passed. And there were no witnesses. No one would believe Noelle, but Blake remained silent.

Cedric eyed Xenia. "You say Noelle pointed out Blake's location. Then why didn't the gangsters find him, yet you did?"

Xenia stammered, "I… I tricked them and led them away."
