Xenia would never leave the Liddell family so easily.

Donovan happened to be walking toward her when she limped out of the hospital room. She immediately pretended to be weak and collapsed onto the floor.

Donovan rushed over and held Xenia. "What happened? Why are you so badly hurt?"

Xenia shook her head weakly. "I'm fine. I need to apologize to Noelle and explain everything to her so she can forgive Blake."

She pretended to faint after that. Xenia had no intention of apologizing to Noelle at all.

Donovan immediately had the doctors take Xenia away before stepping into the hospital room to confront Blake. "It's one thing to teach her a lesson, but why did you have to be so ruthless? She has a broken bone!"

Blake sneered. "Don't act like some righteous hero. Weren't you the one who told Xenia to come with me yesterday? Don't pretend you didn't know what would happen. I wasn't going to just let her off."

Donovan looked guilty. "Even so, you didn't have to go this far. Did you want to beat her to death? Her father died saving our parents. How do you think the Liddell family will look if news got out?"

Blake scoffed. "Don't forget, Donovan. I was only this ruthless to Noelle because Xenia deceived me!"

Donovan sighed. "Fine, I know you feel bad for Noelle now. But she didn't hesitate to turn her back on you, remember? You should be worrying about how to deal with the fallout from the livestream incident."

Blake was stubborn. "Xenia needs to apologize and let Noelle vent her anger. Noelle will stop going after me once Xenia apologizes."

After all, he was a victim since he was tricked by Xenia.

Donovan scoffed. "That's your problem. Solve it yourself. I'm done meddling."

In the next room, Xenia slowly regained consciousness and finally realized the full extent of her injuries. Her rib was broken. No wonder she was in so much pain.
