Noelle was baffled by the sudden question and smiled. "Ms. Merlock, I know exactly what kind of person my boyfriend is."

She didn't need anyone else judging Cedric's character. Laura's words lingered at the tip of her tongue. She wanted to tell Noelle the truth, but in the end, she held back.

If she was going to reveal Cedric's real identity, it couldn't be done so casually. Otherwise, that'd be too easy for Noelle.

Any lady would be overjoyed to learn that her boyfriend was the heir to the Greene family. Once Noelle knew, she'd never let go. That wasn't what Laura wanted.

Noelle noticed the flicker of emotion on Laura's face and asked, "What exactly are you trying to say?"

"Nothing. I was just being nosy."

A hint of malice flashed in Laura's eyes. Since the foundation incident didn't cause Noelle any trouble, she needed to find another way.

The two of them exited the elevator together, only to realize they were heading in the same direction. In the end, they both stopped in front of the same private room.

Laura looked at Noelle in surprise. "You're coming here, too?"

"Yes. What a coincidence. Are you here to meet Mrs. Cantrell as well?"

"That's right." Laura pushed the door and walked in.

Noelle followed behind her and immediately spotted Donovan and a well-dressed woman seated at the head of the table. It was, without a doubt, Salena.

As for Wyatt and Xenia, they were probably still stopped at the entrance.

Laura strode up to Salena's side and began chatting as if they were old acquaintances while Noelle remained where she was. It was best to keep her distance before figuring out what Salena's intentions were.

Donovan walked over to Noelle and lowered his voice. "Go over and say hello."

Noelle replied, "What exactly does Mrs. Cantrell want?"

"Nothing much. She just wants to meet you. Go offer a toast. Look at how Ms. Merlock is handling things."
