"Thanks. If wasn't for you I would have been here all day." I laughed.

He had finally turned around and revealed himself to me. It was James. "You're welcome."

I was beyond shocked that it was him and wanted nothing more than to avoid being in his presence any longer and potentially having to engage in conversation with him.

"I should go." He looked as if he wanted to say more but decide against it.

"Nice seeing you again."

I nodded at his words and made my way out of the pack house. I made it to work in no time, but as expected, Melissa wasn't the happiness at the moment.

"Nice for you to finally come to work." She followed me into my office.

"Sorry, I was just in need of a break."

"Look." She sat down in the chair. "I know that you have a boyfriend and all, but you're never here. Meaning that I have to spend all my time with Lily, and her annoying friends that are always here."

"I'm said I was sorry, and I wish that I can say that I'm gonna be here more but I probably not."

"What?" She yelled out.

"I'm gonna be taking over The Red Café," I said calmly.

"So you're just gonna leave me to here, with all the responsibility, no way!" She stubbornly folded her arms and shook her head 'no'.

"That's not all, I've decided to make you the assistant manager."

"Really? Does that include a raise?" She no longer cared about me not being her as much, and only about her new position.

"Yes it includes a raise, and you're gonna be in charge while I'm gone."

"But with school starting back up in a few weeks, how's that gonna work."

"I've decided that I gonna hire 4 more people, including a chef that can help your dad out. Since I'll have more money I can afford to hire a few more people."

"That's great, but please no more people like Lily."

"Melissa she's not that bad."

"Your opinion doesn't matter because you're dating her brother." She dismissed.

"Even before I was dating Ryan, I still thought she was a nice girl."

"Alex are you serious?" Melissa said looking beyond furious.

"Melissa, we need the workers. If you know someone looking for a job, recommend them and I will give them an interview."

"Fine."

ALPHA RYAN

Things with Alex were at an all-time high. Waking up to her and getting to know her more and more every day was astonishing. I ended up sending the witch that told me to stop looking for my mate a bonus check for her services.

While things were good with myself and Alex I couldn't say the same for Alpha Noah and my cousin Ellie. He had been calling me almost every day with a problem with my cousin. As expected, he had found her in a diner and then dragged her back to his territory, sometime after that she had a mental breakdown where she destroyed a large amount of the house. This time, he had called me because he wanted my advice on whether or not he should let Ellie travel the world.

"That's a tough one man, I mean Ellie been through a lot and I never seen her want something so bad. But at the same time if I was in your situation I don't think I would ever let my mate do something like this." I told him truthfully.

"Then why did you let her do this in the first place." He growled out.

"She met you didn't she," I argued.

"Sorry, you're right." He sighed. "What do you think I should do?"

Despite me having loads of work to do since I skipped out on work for the past two days, I refuse to abandon him in his time of need.
