Overall the dinner turned out better than I expected and after an hour or so we went our separate ways.

Just as we had planned, the whole Sunday was spent with just the two of us. We watched movies, we cuddled, and we had even made dinner together. All and all I feel like it was a good idea for us to spend a whole day together. But of course Monday came way to fast, and lord knows that I didn't want to leave the comfort of our home.

Ryan and I had both gotten up earlier than usually. With the new changes to the restaurant I wanted to make sure everything was okay before we opened for business.

When I entered the restaurant I couldn't help but be in awe. "Wow! Everything looks amazing."

The whole place had been modernized, from the beautiful painting on the wall to the new light fixtures. The once bright red booths were now black and the once plain white walls were painted turquoise on one side and tan on the other side. A new bar had been installed and the brown chairs that I ordered offline looked fantastic with it. The floors were both white and turquoise in a stripped pattern. Using the small color palette the bathroom had also be completely redone.

"See I told you that you had nothing to worry about." He wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my cheek.

Even though I wanted to spend my whole weekend making sure everything was done perfectly Ryan had convinced me I could trust his contractors and that everything would be done up to par.

I turned around and wrapped my arms around his neck. "Thank you for doing this. I love yo-." I abruptly stopped. "I mean..."

"I love you too." He said quickly, leaving me unsure if he had really said those words, or if I was hearing things.

"What?"

"I said I love you too. I've actually been meaning to say that to you for a while now." He said sounding relieved.

My lips curved into a smile. "Really?"

"Yes." My heart fluttered.

"I love you too. And again thanks for doing this. I sure my father would have loved this."

He pressed his lips against mine, and I immediately felt my body heat up. But before things could go to the next level he pulled away. "One more thing." He pulled me towards my office. "I know you hate taking my money but I wanted to do something special."

"This all is already special enough."

Without responding, he opens the door. The walls were painted a crème color, and the floor had been done a similar color.

"Thanks, Jack." He nodded before going off to the kitchen.

"Nice!" Lily commented when she entered the restaurant a few seconds later.

"Yea, Ryan's contracted did an amazing job." She nodded in agreement before also going to explore the place.

A few minutes later the others came in and we begin preparing to open. In the process of getting ready, I noticed that Ryan had also got the kitchen redone. Even though I wanted to be mad, I couldn't possibly be when it all looked so great.

When the customers came in they too were in a shock of how well everything looked. After all the regulars came in for breakfast and the rush had finally stopped and headed into my office.

Since Ryan had left I had felt overwhelmingly hot. I wasn't sure if it was because of all the running I had been doing around the restaurant or because I was coming down with possibly a fever.

I went to take off my jacket and when I did I brushed against my mark, it stung making me yell out. Right away Lily came running in with Melissa right behind her.

"Is everything okay?" They asked in unison.
