I put on my jacket and was about to leave from my office when someone open my door. "Ding dong." Liz walked in with a Walgreens bag.
"I have somewhere to be Liz."
She took a pregnancy test out the bag and begin taking the contents from the box. "And you can go after you pee on this stick."
I rolled my eyes. "Even if I was pregnant, which I am not it's none of your business. I am a grown up. A responsible one at that."
It was my way of getting out of taking the pregnancy test. Even if I will be somewhat okay with having a baby with Ryan, I wasn't ready to face the music at this very moment. Not to mention the fact that we had just started having sex a few days ago and there was no way that the test would tell me if I was pregnant or not.
"You're right. You are a grown up but... I just don't want you to make the same mistakes that I did."
Liz had made plenty of mistakes in her past and she was just looking out for me. I held onto her hand. "Thank you for your concern, I really appreciate it."
"So you will take the test." She said hopefully.
"Not gonna happen."
ALPHA RYAN
"Someone seems happy," Tyler noted when I walked into my office. "You finally lost you virginity." He teased.
"Fuck off." I sat down at my desk. My dad had always instilled in us to wait for our mate. Growing up I really didn't get it but as of now I am grateful that I did wait. Unfortunately, the same thing isn't always installed in the human world. Alex had slept with her high school sweetheart. While that did make me want to find this guy and skin him alive, I couldn't be mad because she didn't know that she would end up with a werewolf as a mate.
He chuckled. "Anyways everything is set for you to go to The New Elite pack. Have you talked to Alex about it?"
"You do know that you leave in a less than a week."
"I know. I'll talk to her about it later today. Have you and Daniel made all the arrangements."
"Yes, Daniel gathered enough wolves and I already have a list of people that are gonna be patrolling." He handed me the list of people that he and Daniel had chosen.
I nodded in approval. "Good." Looking over at the clock I noticed that it was lunch time. My thoughts immediately shifted to my mate. While I would love nothing more than to spend my afternoon with her I couldn't. I had spent more than enough time away from my work and considering I was set to leave in a few days and I had loads of things to get done.
Tyler and I went to the backyard to check out the pack fighter's training session. Most of them were the ones that would be accompanying me to The New Elite Pack. The purpose of checking out the wolves train was to figure out who would guard Alex while we were there. I wasn't sure if she would go but I was gonna try my hardest to convince her.
"Ryan?" Alex called out from the kitchen.
"Coming." I walked into the kitchen to see her putting something in the oven. "You cooked?"
"Not exactly." She took off her cooking mittens. "I went over to The Red Café to check the place out and I couldn't stop thinking about that pasta from last time."
I came up to her and kissed her cheek. "How was it?"
"I really like it and I see a lot of potentials." She pulled out some garlic bread and put it in the oven.
I nodded and thought of how I should bring the situation up. "So there's something I wanted to talk to you about."
She sighed. "Is it bad?"
"No, not really. One of the Alpha's is throwing a gathering to discuss the rogue problem."
