"No, of course not," I dramatically shook my head. "I promise he's never seen her, not even a picture," I stressed.
"I don't believe a word from that disgusting mouth of yours." He shook his head, "Get out!" He shouted.
"What?" I replied dumbly. Of course, he would kick me out. I was having an affair, not physically but emotionally. I had fallen in love with a man I barely know.
"GET OUT!" Grabbing my arm, he dragged me towards the door.
"Mel, look I'm sorry," I told him frantically, trying to get out my last few apologies before he shut down.
"I don't want to hear it. I should have never married a whore like you." He snarled.
When we got to the door, he opened it and pushed me out. "Don't you ever come back here." He threw my purse out the house and slammed the door shut, making sure to lock it.
It was official I had broken his heart, broken up my family and now I was homeless and alone. Climbing into my car I placed my purse on my seat and started up the car. I made it a few blocks before I broke down. I couldn't believe that I had risked it all. What would Alex think? Where was I going to go, now? Did I make the right decision?
Someone knocked at the window, looking up I saw James standing outside my window. Looking into his eyes I had for a moment forgotten everything that was going on. He seemed to pack on a few pounds of muscle since the last time that I had seen him, and he had grown his beard completely out, and it managed to make him look even better than I could ever imagine. Could a man be so perfect?
He opened the car door, "You okay?" He bent down to my level and wiped my fallen tears.
I nodded. "You been watching me?" I asked even though I was sure that I had already known the truth. How else would he know exactly where I was at this very moment?
"Every day." He said as if it was nothing. He lifted me up from my seat and placed me in the passenger side, before climbing into the driver's seat. Enjoying the feel of his hands on me I didn't object as he placed my seat belt on before doing the same to his.
LUNA ALEX
Walking up to The New Elite pack house it was surrounded by guards. I notice a few of them belonging to The Red Bloods Pack, bowing at me when I came into their peripheral vision. I walked up the three steps and knocked on the front door. A few seconds later the door open and Ellie was standing there with a bright smile. Ellie wore a black spaghetti strapped dress paired with black sandal heels with her long blonde hair curled. "Alex, you made it." She hugged me, "Finally, I was just about to kill myself." She whispered when she was close enough to my ear.
I pulled back so that I could see the look on her face. "What why?"
"Tell you about it later. Come." She gestured for me to follow her. She leads us to the dining room where I was greeted by many beautiful women sitting at a long wooden table.
"Hi, I'm Alex." I waved at them as they all stared at me as if I had two heads. I assumed it had something to do with the fact that I was human. Ryan had warned me that many of the women would be shocked at this considering it was very rare for there to be a human Luna, but that did nothing to calm my nerves. From the corner of my eyes, I could see Ellie glaring back at the women.
