"Fine." I agreed. The pain that I felt was no longer and I still felt Ryan and I's bond, so I was sure that he was okay or alive at least.
"Let me go handle that before things get out of control," Elizabeth told us before following behind Ellie into the kitchen where the insults back and forth continued. "Okay, that enough with the bitch fest." She yelled at them.
A few seconds later both she and Ellie returned to the living room. "Everything is gonna be okay, Alex," Ellie told me. "I promise."
ALPHA RYAN
"Ryan! Ryan! Are you okay?" Alex pushed her way into my mind.
All throughout the fight I could feel her panic, I tried my best to close the bond so that she couldn't feel my pain but unfortunately, I was unsuccessful because she felt every ounce of it. "I'm fine baby. Calm down I can practically hear your heartbeat from here."
"I was so worried." She stressed.
"You have nothing to be worried about. I'm fine and as soon as the meeting ends I'll be on my way to see you."
"I love you."
"I love you too," I told her before closing my mind link off.
"I feel like that was good," Noah told us, making each and every one of else look at him weirdly. "All the tension is out of the room, no angry feelings lingering and now we can focus on the real issues." He continued. Leave it up to Noah to look at the brighter side of things.
The guys had finally managed to break the both of us apart. I left my anger for Mason consume me and because of that, I had come out of the fight with a swollen eye and a broken nose. While Mason on the other hand only had a few bruises on his face and maybe a few broken ribs.
"I agree," Caine said and John and Nick nodded in agreement.
"So what's the plan?" Nick asked as he leaned back into his chair and folded his hands behind his head.
"We know they're planning to attack us all at once."
"How do we know that for sure," John asked looking at Noah.
"Trust me, I know," Noah told us as he got up from his seat to pull himself a cup of coffee. "The question is more of when is the attack happening."
"The best thing we can do is get prepared," Mason interjected.
"Why can't we just attack them first?" I asked the group, more of Noah because he seems as if he had all the answers.
"I think getting prepared is wiser. If we spend time looking for them that could possibly give them the green light to attack us first." John said, and the others nodded in agreement.
When he explained things that way I completely saw the point that he was making. For the remainder of the meeting, there was no conflict between Mason and I. We were able to agree on the tactics that we should use and the protocol after the war was over.
"Hello?"
It was just after five a.m. when my phone rang I quickly answered it so that it wouldn't wake Alex up.
"Alpha Ryan?" The woman asked. The voice sounded kind of familiar but I couldn't put my finger on it.
"Yes, who is this?" I asked rudely
Not only were they calling at a ridiculous hour but they also didn't have the decency to introduce themselves at first hand.
"It's Hailee. I'm Mason's mate." I immediately groaned in annoyance. Why the fuck was she calling me at this early in the morning?
"What do you want?" I couldn't stop the growl that left my lips.
She huffed in annoyance. "I just wanted to inform you that there have been rogues sighting near our borders. Plus, Alpha Caine mate was just kidnapped by a group of rogues a couple of hours ago."
"What," I yelled. "Is everything okay?"
Alex jumped up from her sleep. "What's going on?" Alex asked and I held up my hand for her to wait until I finished the call.
