"You sure about that." I teased.
"I can show you better than I can tell you." He said before shifting into his wolf. In human form I had a chance, but since Max had shifted he now had the upper hand in this fight.
Glancing around the field I took not that Mason had somehow gotten away. With all the attention on me and Max and the fact that Max's guards weren't the smartest bunch, it couldn't have been that hard. Yet it still pissed me off knowing that he had left me to fend for myself, no we weren't the best of friends but if he was in the same situation I would have stuck around to at least help the poor guy.
The angry that I was feeling multiply once I made eye contact with my father's head. It was a few inches away from my foot with his eyes wide open and his mouth parted. Seeing my father head on the ground made me even angrier resulting into an unanticipated shifting.
I could see the fear in his eyes as I landed on all fours. As of now, it was an even playing field. I wouldn't be surprised if he wished that he had killed me when he had the chance. Lunging at him first the two of us tumbled to the ground, rising up in a mass of snapping teeth and swiping claws.
The sound of howls distracted me, Max took advantage of this and dug his claws into my side. Crying out I pulled back so that he was no longer had his claws in my side. Glancing to the right I saw wolves coming from the woods and immediately recognized them as The Moon Light Pack. Glancing to my left my pack made their appearance. The rogues around us looked panic for a moment before Max silently instructed them to attack.
Noting Max's absentminded state, I launched my own attack, biting at his hind leg and tearing through his flesh. He yelped and kicked me off of him. Quickly picking myself up I circled around him, my attack on his leg had clearly weakened him. The sight of my father head still haunted me and without another thought I attack him.
Digging my claws into him and making varies bites all over his body. I was soon pulled off of him but two other wolves. With it being three against one and the blood from my previously wound still leaking, I was growing weaker and weaker by the moment.
One of them clawed across my eye, moving my head back and forth I was able to avoid most of the damage. By doing that I had my neck expose and the other rogue took advantage of that and clamped down on my neck. I had already lost so much blood and ended up shifting back to my human form. With a satisfied smirk on Max's face, he made a run for it leaving his bitches to finish his work. Max had clearly seen that his mission failed and knowing that I was dying was good enough for him to leave before the shit hit the fan.
"Any updates from Ryan?" Lily asked me with her face stained with tears.
"His mind link is off and Avery can't get in touch with Tyler."
Ellie sighed angrily, "If anything happens to Ryan I'm going to hunt those rogues down myself and kill each and every one of them."
No one said anything after that, all three of us was on an emotional overdrive and I don't think any of us actually knew how to act during this time. It wasn't until Avery came rushing into the living room did we all jump up in fear.
