Uh oh!

I looked up at BFG and smiled, cleared my suddenly dry throat and smiled again.

"Hi...... Hey there". I laughed nervously and continued, "Ummdidn't see you there. I was just trying to

get out of your hair, yup, goodbye!".

I tried going past him to bolt outta here, but he just grabbed my hands.

Okay!!!

I laughed nervously...... Again. Then I looked up. "BFGum".

Oh shit!.I just called him BFG.

He tilted his head one side and looked at me. I looked down at my tattered shoes and was just staring at it, waiting for him to lash out or hit me.

After staring at my shoes for like 639261539462Hdjqkvdh minutes. (well maybe it's only a minute, but it felt way too longer than that).I finally looked up at him only for me to see him smiling at me.

Wait, What!!.Wait a minute. Why the hell is he smiling at me.

Worriedly, I reached my hands up to his forehead to check if he's running a temperature, but he was not. Coming back to my senses I hurriedly took back my hand and muttered sorry to him.

BFG tilted his head to the side and was still staring at meSmiling.

I looked at him and finally noticed his outfit, He was wearing a blue jean and a black turtleneck sweater and a weird looking piece of cloth tied round his neckWeird.

That was when I did something embarrassing. Actually, not meMy stomach.

I held it with my hands and laughed nervouslyAgain!!!.

"UmmmSorry, don't mind me, am not hungry". Stop talking Kenzie. "I'm not really hungry. It's just

telling me something, yeah, that's it".

Then BFG started laughing hysterically, like bend-down-and-hold-your-stomach type of laughter. But the weird thing was that no sound was coming out of his mouth even as he was laughing.

I tilted my head to the side and stared at himConfused. He finally noticed me and he stopped his

laughter.

Immediately his expression changed. His face became blank. His eyes were empty, void of emotion.

OkayI stepped back a little and I think that backing away made him angrier. Then he picked up a weird

looking stick, went outside and started writing vigorously on the floor. I stood where I was peeping at him.

When he was done writing, he stood up, looked at me and pointed at the floor. I started moving till I was standing beside him. He pointed at the floor again and I followed his gaze.

On the floor was written. "I'm muteProblem?"

I continued staring at it for a while, then I looked up at him. BFG was fiddling his fingersNervously.

Aww.

I smiled at him and touched his large fingers with my hands. "It's okay, you don't have to be ashamed or anything". He looked up at me and raised his eyebrows a little bit, which I understood was his way of saying "Really?".

I nodded my head and said. "Yes".

He smiled up at me and OMG, He has dimples!!!. Immediately my stomach rumbled again. Way to go tummy!!!

He laughed this time... Freely, and pointed to his hut.... Cave....HouseWhatever!!!!!.

BFG fed me with a roasted meat that was too delicious that I didn't bother asking him which animal I was consuming.

After resting for a while, BFG looked at me and mouthed the word "Wolf" slowly to me. I tilted my head to the side and said " what do you mean?".

He made a running motion with his hands and said "Wolf".

"Oh! You want us to run in our wolf forms?". He nodded his head rapidly and I thought it was going to fall off. I laughed at him before saying. "OK, big guy".

Right now we are sitting in front of BFG's cave doing nothing, then my brain clicked. I turned to BFG and tilted my head to the side.

"BFG, I've lived with you for like" I counted the days in my head, "Five days and I don't still know

your name, while you know mine".

Immediately BFG tensed up as I said that and I got concerned quickly. I immediately rushed to him and reached out to touch his shoulder but he jerked away.

Okay!!!

If I knew that just a name could result to this, I wouldn't have asked. I'm perfectly fine with calling him BFG. I was just curious.

Then he suddenly started clawing at his neck and tearing away the cloth that was tied there. That was when I saw the weird looking marks like knife slashes on his neck.

I gasped in shock and was staring at it when BFG started struggling to breathe.

Oh my God! He's having a panic attack. I immediately rushed to him, took his hand and placed it on my chest.

"BFG? Hey! Look at me buddy. Just follow my breathing. Nice and slow."

He followed my breathing and five minutes later, he started breathing normally.

"H-hey, what h-happened??" I reached out my hand and tried to touch the marks on his neck but he jerked away from my touchAgain.

"OkayIt's no problem, you don't have to tell me now. Just tell me when you are comfortable". I went

back to where I was sitting and sat down.

After waiting for like ten minutes or so, I've already given up on BFG telling me anything. My mind was just wandering when I heard noises. I looked up to see BFG with a journal, but the journal looks old.

I must've really been in "wonderland" for me not to have noticed BFG going into the cave to bring this journal. He thrusted the book into my hands and nodded his head at me.

I looked at his face that was void of emotion, but his eyes were sadReally sad. Then I opened the

book and started reading.
