Jordan pulled back a little and looked at me.

"You are not mad?" He asked looking vulnerable.

I nodded my head at him and even smiled to reassure him. It was not his fault.

"I'm not mad buddy. It was not your fault"

"You won't get mad later and h-hate me, right?" He asked and his voice broke a little when he said 'hate'.

"I promise you that I'm not mad and I won't be mad later" I said to him.

He let out a sigh of relief and dropped his head on my chest.

"I was so scared. I though you'd hate me"

"I can't hate you. You are my brother. You are my family" I said while patting his back.

He pulled away from me and walked towards the bed. He sat on it and looked at his feet.

"How is she? . Jasmine told me that she was s-shot. Is the injury bad?" He asked and I new he was scared to know the answer.

"She..." I cleared my throat to get rid of the hoarseness. Fuck! It hurts talking about her.

"She is getting better" I managed to tell him. "She'll be better and she'll wake up soon" I said. I was reassuring myself though.

He looked up and nodded his head looking tired.

"You need to rest" I said while moving to him and picking up the blanket that was on the floor.

"I want to s-see her. Can I see her?" He asked looking at me with hope filled eyes.

"Of course you can buddy, but you need to rest first okay? You were hit pretty bad too" I said while covering him with the blanket.

He must be thinking that I wouldn't want him near Kenzie again. I can't do that. She clearly loves spending time with him. I can't deny her that.

As soon as Jordan's head hit the pillow, he slept off.

I looked at his tear stained face and his bandaged head and got mad at that bitch. She hurt my family and my mate, she hurt me. I smiled darkly as I remembered what I did to her.

I walked down the path that led to the cell. Fuck! It's been long since I've been here. It was the day that I found Kenzie that I came here last. I visited this place almost every day before I met Kenzie.

My hands where clenched tightly that they were white. I don't want to kill her just yet. I want to know why she did that shit.

She smiled because she knew what she said had riled me up, she had succeeded in making me angry, but I'll not act yet.

"Why?"

I really wanted to know.

She frowned as she looked at me.

"Why? I thought it was obvious? My daughter is meant to be your mate, but you refused. So I had to kill your fake mate so that you'll mate my daughter, simple" She said, her eyes glinting as she mentioned her daughter as my mate.

"What is the main reason?"

She started glaring at me so bad that if it was possible she'd shoot bullets out of them.

"Your useless father was my first mate, but I rejected him immediately I saw him because I didn't know he was the Alpha's son. I was not from this pack so I didn't know him. He begged me but I refused and when I saw him next, your mum was standing next to him. I didn't know people get second chance mates till I got mine, he was from this pack. He was just a normal wolf. A Beta would have been preferable to him, but I couldn't reject him. I wasn't sure if I'd get another. I tried apologizing to your father, I even tried to seduce him but he threatened to banish me from the pack. When I gave birth to Sharon, I said she'd be your mate and everything would be okay, but when you guys turned eighteen, nothing happened and I was pissed. I'm sure it was your fault YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT "She screamed at me, her spit flying everywhere.

Wow! I've never heard this story before. This just further proves that this woman is delusional.
