I was still crying when I felt myself being carried. I buried my head in Jason's chest and let the sound of his heartbeat soothe me.

' I'll protect you and the pack love. I will.'

Jason managed to convince me that all was well, but to tell the truth; I'm not so sure. It's been three days since Amber came and Jason has been working harder than ever. I think he's trying to make sure everything is okay. I don't like that he's working so hard nowadays, but it's kind of my fault.

I came to Learn that rogues also attacked this pack five years ago. The rogues killed Jason's mom and made Jason's dad really depressed. When I learnt the story from Jason, I cried so much. I found out that we had some things in common. We both lost something to the rogues and we are sure as hell not going to lose another.

I've been trying to learn how to defend myself online. I've gotten the basics, I think. It's just that I don't have anyone to practice with. Jason has not been home lately and no one is allowed out for their own safety. We don't know when the rogues will attack so we are being cautious.

I've built...or more like tried to build something I could spar with. It was always falling apart so I'm trying to add something stronger.

I worked out for about an hour before I got tired and stopped. I've also learnt how to tie knots and loose knots. You don't know when it'll come in handy. I'm also trying to learn how to throw knives. Since Jason won't let me out of the house...for my own safety, I figured I could teach myself. I kept the knife I used for practice in my pocket. It was foldable, so there was no way it'll hurt me.

I'm wearing one of Jason's T-shirt and I'm reading a book on self defense. My mind was not in the book I was reading at all. I'm just doing it to escape boredom. I was flipping the page and was just staring at the pictures when I heard a knock on the door.

Huh! Who could it be?

"Who's there?" I asked warily. No one except warriors were allowed outside and I'm sure as hell that Jason wouldn't knock on the door.

"S'Zayn" A very small voice whispered. I wouldn't have heard it if I wasn't a werewolf.

Zayn? What's he doing here. He shouldn't be out here, he should be with Avery.

I quickly rushed to the door and looked through the peep hole, but no one was there. Silly me, Zayn was a kid and is therefore not tall enough for me to see him.

"Are you okay honey?" I asked as I opened the door. I froze as I did because of what was in front of me was shocking.

Zayn was standing there with years streaming down his face. The shocking part was the gun that was being pointed to his head. By Sean.

Oh my gosh! I knew there was something off about this guy, but I never expected he would stoop this low. Zayn is just a kid. Fear gripped me as I watched Zayn shake with sobs.

"K-ken ken" Zayn said with fear in his voice. Fudge! The poor kid. Sean must've threatened the little guy to do this. Darn!

"I swear Sean. If you don't believe me I can show you the scar" I said as I gently moved Zayn to my other side so I could show him my gun shot wound. It never healed completely. The skin there was an angry red.

Sean looked at it in shock and was whispering 'it's a lie' over and over again.

"Sharon didn't tell me that. W-why didn't she t-tell me that?" He said as tears rolled down his cheeks.

I felt sorry for him because he didn't know what his mum did. It must be had for him to believe because who's mum must've not been a crazy lunatic to him.

"Why don't you put the gun down, Sean? Please" I said with the gentlest voice I had and it worked. Sean put the gun down gently, but he shook his head.

"It's too late. It's too late. I'm meant to take you outside with me or else they'll start attacking the pack. They've paid me already and and they'll kill me if I don't bring you out" Sean said while sobbing loudly.

Fudge!

I could either follow him or let them attack the pack and the second is not an option. I gulped loudly and ignored Sean as he was numbing 'sorry'. I don't have the time for that now.

I summoned all the courage I could and looked at Sean.
