OWNED BY THE ALPHA novel Chapter 8

A knock on my door pulled me out of my thought. Based on the waves of smell in the air I knew it was my Beta, Andrew. I grunted as a Sign for him to enter. He came in with his eyes on the wall and bowed his head. None of my pack members, except my siblings could look me straight in the eyes without flinching.

"Alpha we've double checked the border and the scent we found wasn't that of a rogue but a lone wolf, but I've added more people to the crew".

I looked at him and grunted and looked down at the paperwork's. We were best friends before but not anymore. I couldn't trust him after what happened. In fact I couldn't trust anyone.

I heard clearing of throat and looked up to see Andrew still standing there. I had forgotten he was still here.

I wouldn't say I'm in good terms with my pack members. I'm not. They are scared shirtless of me. From what I've heard they claim I have "a dark aura" and that "I'm always brooding". My siblings told me.

I don't like my pack members to be scared of me. It's just that I don't want to trust people and get hurt. When my own father was betrayed by his own best friend and Beta and almost lost the pack, I made up my mind not to trust anyone except my siblings.

~FLASH BACK~

It's my twentieth birthday today and from my face one would know that I'm not happyAt all.=

In every pack the Alpha needs to be initiated on his eighteenth birthday. It's not a law but it has been like that since forever and no one have done otherwise except from me.

"Ahh Jason I knew you'd come here". He said showing off his yellow teeth. I looked at him warily. What did he mean by he knew I'd come.

"You knew?". I asked while entering his office.

"Yes I knew and I know the reason . I just gave you the papers to sign because you are the next Alpha. Your Father signed it already, if you'd like to know".

"I know my dad signed it. Andrew told me already but the problem is that the words are faint. I can't see what is written on it".

I moved closer to show him the file but he waved his hand in the air in dismissal.
