Sebastian intended to bring Nadine shopping, so he asked her what her plans were for the afternoon. He was just about to bring it up when he saw Brad descending the hotel staircase with Sean in his arms.

Brad wore a light gray tracksuit paired with black sneakers. His short hair was slightly damp, as if he had just showered. Sean was wearing the same tracksuit, black sneakers, and a white baseball cap.

He hadn't noticed how similar the two of them looked before. But now, seeing them in matching outfits, he realized that their faces were almost identical, as though they'd been carved from the same mold.

Sean's round, chubby cheeks that still carried a bit of baby fat were the only exception. This was very unlike Brad's sharp, defined jawline.

"Mommy!" Sean called out to Nadine cheerfully as soon as he spotted her. Her attention immediately shifted to her son. She hastily stood up and walked toward him. "Oh, my baby, how did you know I was back?"

She had just taken a seat at the hotel restaurant and was about to place her order before intending to call him to come downstairs. But Brad had shown up with Sean as if he'd read her mind.

Sean grinned mischievously. "I can't tell you that. Daddy said it's a secret! By the way, Mommy, Daddy's going to have lunch with us, so you need to order his favorite dishes, okay?"

She hadn't even done anything yet, yet Sean was already thinking of Brad. Sean wasn't her sweet angel anymore. Even though it bothered her a bit, she decided to let it go, especially since Brad had humbled himself to help take care of her son. The least she could do was treat him to a good meal.

"Alright, baby," she responded.

Nadine carried Sean back to her table and smiled apologetically at Sebastian. "I'm so sorry, Mr. Caldwell. It seems I'll be tied up this afternoon spending time with my son. How about we save the sightseeing for next time?"

Rather than going out, she preferred spending time with her precious son. Sean had been eating well lately. His round bottom was proof of that. He looked like a plump little egg, so adorable it melted her heart.
