The secretary playfully smacked his own cheek and said, "Sir, those women in the business world act all prim and proper, like they're nuns or something. But when they see you, they can't take their eyes off you!"

Nathan's expression turned stormy. "Are you complimenting me or making fun of me for relying on my looks?"

The secretary chuckled nervously, "Even guys find it hard to keep their cool around you. I'm just curious, how could Nathalie not be into you?"

Before Nathan could respond, the secretary made a quick getaway.

Fuming, Nathan hurled a folder at the back of the retreating secretary's head. "I swear, I'll send you to deal with those 'nuns' tonight!"

The secretary yelped, "My bad. Let's just have Dominick from PR handle this sort of thing."

Nathan slumped onto a bench with a heavy sigh. The secretary's words had struck a chord. Objectively, he had the looks, the money, and was loyal to a fault. There was no logical reason for Nathalie not to be interested.

Yet, even though he repeatedly asked Lizzy to find out how Nathalie felt about him, Nathalie always dodged the topic.

He couldn't quite grasp what was going on in Nathalie's mind. He worried that his initial, impulsive confession had scared her off.

What if she still hadn't forgiven him for that unplanned kiss? How would he face her once he was back?

Nathan had been away from the Capital for two years, and his longing for Nathalie only intensified over time. With the company now on solid footing, it was time for him to return.

But he found himself hesitating.

"Ugh," Nathan sighed deeply.

From a distance, the secretary called out, "Benjamin is pushing for us to sign the contract. Have you decided when you're heading back to the Capital?"

"Mr. Will said Cameron is the future of the Dawson family." John proclaimed.

The person sent to bring Cameron home was Aunt Marian, a long-time family elder.

Aunt Marian had taken care of both Griffin and Cameron over the years. Despite being in her seventies, her lifetime of hard work kept her spry.

When she arrived at Cameron's place, it was Greta who answered the door.

Aunt Marian gave Greta a once-over. She didn’t particularly like her, so she got straight to the point, "Where's Cameron?"

Greta eyed her warily, "Who are you? What do you want with him?"
